Most recently, Tiphany left a 20-year career in public education to start her own media production business. Tiphany has been featured in Authority Magazine, Women Who Podcast Magazine, CanvasRebel Magazine, and Shout Out LA Magazine. She also speaks across the country on various stages where she encourages women to speak up and speak out! Partnered with a Survivor: David Mandel and Ruth Reymundo Mandel

99 Episodes

|

Avg Length 57m

|

Latest episode 2 months ago

These podcasts are a reflection of Ruth & David’s ongoing conversations, which are both intimate and professional and touch on complex topics like how systems fail victims and children, how victims experience those systems, and how children are impacted by those failures. Their discussions delve into how society views masculinity and violence and how intersectionalities such as cultural beliefs, religious beliefs and unique vulnerabilities impact how we respond to abuse and violence. These far-ranging discussions offer an insider look into how we navigate the world as professionals, as parents and as partners. During these podcasts, David & Ruth challenge the notions that keep all of us from moving forward collectively as systems, as cultures and as families into safety, nurturance and healing. Note: Some of the topics discussed in the episodes are deeply personal and sensitive, which may be difficult for some people. We occasionally use mature language. We often use gender pronouns like “he” when discussing perpetrators and “she” for victims. While both men and women can be abusive and controlling, and domestic abuse happens in straight and same-sex relationships, the most common situation when it comes to coercive control is a male perpetrator and a female victim. Men's abuse toward women is more closely associated with physical injury, fear and control. Similarly, very different expectations of men and women as parents and the focus of Safe & Together on children in the context of domestic abuse make it impossible to make generic references to gender when it comes to parenting. The Model, through its behavioral focus on patterns of behavior, is useful in identifying and responding to abuse in all situations, including same-sex couples and women's use of violence. We think our listeners are sophisticated enough to understand these distinctions. Have an idea for a podcast? Tell about it here: https://share.hsforms.com/1l329DGB1TH6AFndCFfB7aA3a1w1

She has helped people and systems, for over three decades, find their way through really hard times. Each week, Laura and a guest will discuss concrete strategies we can use to mitigate harm, cultivate our ability to bring our A-game to whatever we’re doing (or as close as we can get), and move beyond what can feel like permanent survival mode. Some weeks will be geared more towards adults, and others towards adolescents and anyone who loves, lives, or works with them. Together, we’ll focus on the merits of staying present, not missing out on today, and trying to avoid future tripping. We hope that Future Tripping will offer listeners insight into what is currently overwhelming them and tactical skills for both sustaining themselves and contributing, however much they’d like, to larger systemic and structural change.

Mindful Recovery is a podcast devoted to helping individuals who are struggling with trauma and addictions. Mindfulness is a research-based method for dealing with anxiety and trauma. Psychological and neuroscience studies have found that it is possible to increase the growth of neuronal pathways and retrain our brains in coping with these issues. Basic techniques like learning to pay attention to our own breathing and looking honestly and non-judgmentally at our broken spaces can begin to create an emotional holding space that allows us to live without reacting to the pain and begin deciding how we want to act on the world we find ourselves in. This becomes the beginning of recovery and, thus, the beginning of a new and abundant life in recovery. Whether you struggle with anxiety, mental illness, complex trauma, PTSD, addictions or a multitude of other problems, becoming mindful is the first step along that path. Here we provide practice, education and support in beginning your journey to healing.

I help people understand themselves better, make sense of their feelings, and learn from resentments and disappointments by using a heart-centered and holistic approach. We all want to live an authentic and fulfilling life...sometimes we just need a little help. Two of our most basic needs are to be connected and to feel loved. Without these, we feel a lack of purpose and isolated. When we feel alone, disconnected and insecure, we’re filled with negative thoughts and feelings of guilt and shame. Left unattended and unvalidated, these feelings take root, growing into resentments and increasingly unhealthy behaviors. If we lack positive feelings about ourselves it's difficult to trust, communicate and feel safe in the world. I offer you a space to be listened to without judgment. A place of safety. And, when you are ready, a new perspective backed by a toolbox full of good techniques to uniquely help you reconnect with your inner world and improve your relationships. We tune into and check out your long held beliefs. We quiet those unkind unconscious messages and turn up your self confidence by identifying and supporting your strengths.

The Resilience and Resistance podcast is about successful Black, Indigenous and Women of Color who are overcoming trauma and becoming resilient. The vision for this podcast is to illuminate the dichotomy that many BIPOC female-identified individuals face in their daily lives; holding space for healing or managing past and present trauma, while maintaining a "professional" identity as they strive towards their work and other goals.Follow Us on IG @Resilience_and_ResistanceSupport this podcast on Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/posts/resilience-w-64601497Music: Inte-Gritty by Bianca MikahnArt: Maite Nazario | http://www.maitenazario.com

Pleasure is every woman’s birthright. This is an invitation to light that spark within you and reclaim the parts of yourself that have been lost and forgotten. To light that spark the world told you to dim. The spark that aches to burn brightly. As women, we’ve lost that spark and with it, our connection to pleasure. In the Illuminated Woman podcast, we’ll explore how we’ve dimmed our light, how we’ve lost our feminine essence and connection to pleasure, and how we can reignite that spark so we can reclaim our Soul’s essence and destiny and find the freedom, magic, joy and pleasure our Soul craves. When we do, we’ll help heal ourselves, our lineage, and the world.
