Most of us have gotten at least a little emotional at some point recently. It’s natural. But why do we have emotions and how much should we pay attention to them on any given day? Can we learn to skillfully choose which emotions to listen to and which ones to just let move on by?
In More Than A Feeling, the latest podcast from Ten Percent Happier, host Saleem Reshamwala goes on a real life quest to find the answers to these questions. He’ll experiment with neuroscientists, dive into stories with historians and philosophers, and document how musicians, therapists, hairdressers and airplane pilots work with emotions.
Saleem sifts through the human condition to find stories and insights that will help us define our most fundamental relationships: our relationship to our own emotions, and to each other’s.

Ever felt vemödalen? Or presque vu? Or mudita? No? Well, maybe you have, and you just didn't realise it. Getting Emotional is about obscure emotions you may have felt, but had no idea there was a name for. Each week we'll focus on a different feeling or notion, and talk to guests who can tell us more about where they came from, and if they've felt them too.

Everyone has a story to tell, and in this podcast I sit down with a group of guests to learn about their childhoods, their marriages and children, the highs and low of their lives, and the stories that left them laughing or crying. And in so doing, show us a little bit of what it means to be human. Each season centers on a group of guests tied together with a common thread.
Season 1 focuses on 5 Quakers or ex-Quakers from the Las Cruces Friends Meeting, and I also ask them why they became Quakers, and if they left Quakerism, why.
In Season 2 I interview immigrants from around the world who all came to the New World to find a better life. I ask why they left, what immigration and integration was like for them, and what it means to be an immigrant.

Welcome to Your Purposeful Life and I’m your host Adrian Starks. I am a speaker, voice narrator, comic card/superhero fanatic, book lover, writer, martial artist, health enthusiast and just a fellow human seeking and creating purpose. On this podcast we aim to achieve a different dialect on the concept of purpose because it is not a one size fits all approach. There will be a variety of guests with various backgrounds and skills expressing their purpose through the human mess we call the human journey in the midst of changes and challenges while finding out who they are, why they do what they do and how they got good at doing what they do on this planet. This podcast will be the guidepost to help you do more than determine your purpose. It will give you the tools to trust and honor it bringing you a greater sense of success, fulfillment and achievement on your terms. Let's start this journey of purpose together.
As men, there is a lot we don’t share because we've been taught to behave "manly" and hold our emotions in. Despite the fact that TRUTH is the most powerful tool a man can have, we silence our truth, turning our insides raw. As a result, many of us are unwell. We engage in bad jobs, hurt ourselves and others, fall into addictions and perpetuate a twisted view on manhood.
It is this podcast's intention to help men navigate their way out of self-imposed silence and support their well-being by letting the truth be known.
Your hosts:
Olivier Egli and Carlos Basurto are serial entrepreneurs and business guides with the goal of speaking and walking in unabashed truth.
Pioneer with Gabrielle on an unscripted journey to unlock joy. Consistent in every episode are stories of hope, healing, and connection that will give birth to your own journey of self-discovery, relational good, and wholeness.
Gabrielle is an intuitive storyteller sharing practical revelation from scripture and continual conversation with God. If you've struggled to hear God's voice and apply His truth to your life mindfully and holistically, this podcast is for you!

They meet emotional experts in the fields of AI, education, healthcare, and psychotherapy, and ask them what it means to live with feeling today. Should schools offer children happiness lessons? How would you feel about being cared for by a robot nurse? How can we make sense of the rapid expansion of childhood trauma as a cultural and psychological phenomenon? And can AI measure our emotions accurately, or even help us be happy? Join the Living With Feeling team for lively conversations and surprising insights into emotions past, present, and future!
Contributors include Philippa Perry, Giles Fraser, Katharine Birbalsingh, and many more.
