Most of us have gotten at least a little emotional at some point recently. It’s natural. But why do we have emotions and how much should we pay attention to them on any given day? Can we learn to skillfully choose which emotions to listen to and which ones to just let move on by?
In More Than A Feeling, the latest podcast from Ten Percent Happier, host Saleem Reshamwala goes on a real life quest to find the answers to these questions. He’ll experiment with neuroscientists, dive into stories with historians and philosophers, and document how musicians, therapists, hairdressers and airplane pilots work with emotions.
Saleem sifts through the human condition to find stories and insights that will help us define our most fundamental relationships: our relationship to our own emotions, and to each other’s.

Ever felt vemödalen? Or presque vu? Or mudita? No? Well, maybe you have, and you just didn't realise it. Getting Emotional is about obscure emotions you may have felt, but had no idea there was a name for. Each week we'll focus on a different feeling or notion, and talk to guests who can tell us more about where they came from, and if they've felt them too.

Everyone has a story to tell, and in this podcast I sit down with a group of guests to learn about their childhoods, their marriages and children, the highs and low of their lives, and the stories that left them laughing or crying. And in so doing, show us a little bit of what it means to be human. Each season centers on a group of guests tied together with a common thread.
Season 1 focuses on 5 Quakers or ex-Quakers from the Las Cruces Friends Meeting, and I also ask them why they became Quakers, and if they left Quakerism, why.
In Season 2 I interview immigrants from around the world who all came to the New World to find a better life. I ask why they left, what immigration and integration was like for them, and what it means to be an immigrant.

Under the Silence is a soul-led space hosted by Bianca Moeschinger — therapist, emotional release practitioner, and guide in psychosomatic healing. Each episode invites you into the quiet truths beneath our words, our wounds, and our roles. This podcast is for the ones seeking clarity, embodiment, and homecoming — not through answers, but through honest reflection, emotional presence, and the wisdom of the body.
Historians of emotion Thomas Dixon, Sarah Chaney, Emma Sutton, and Richard Firth-Godbehere take a fresh look at the worlds of feeling and emotion in the twenty-first century.
They meet emotional experts in the fields of AI, education, healthcare, and psychotherapy, and ask them what it means to live with feeling today. Should schools offer children happiness lessons? How would you feel about being cared for by a robot nurse? How can we make sense of the rapid expansion of childhood trauma as a cultural and psychological phenomenon? And can AI measure our emotions accurately, or even help us be happy? Join the Living With Feeling team for lively conversations and surprising insights into emotions past, present, and future!
Contributors include Philippa Perry, Giles Fraser, Katharine Birbalsingh, and many more.
Living With Feeling is produced by Natalie Steed for Rhubarb Rhubarb, and is brought to you by the Queen Mary Centre for the History of the Emotions.
We’re grateful to the Wellcome Trust for their generosity in making this series possible.

Bienvenue !
