These two are not Big Book Thumping, black and white, singleness-of-purpose thinkers. These two savvy sober women have long term sobriety in multiple programs and bring their life experiences out in the open, dealing with tough topics such as “Is there a gray area?” “What’s a dating plan?” “Sex and sobriety” “Working multiple 12 step programs” “What is emotional sobriety?” and more. They are fun and direct, speaking straight to the point. And although they mostly agree they will tell you right off they do not agree on everything. I share my experience, strength and hope with you regarding my own recovery from alcoholism through the 12 Steps in Alcoholics Anonymous. By the grace of God I've remained sober since I was 18 years old (1989). I started drinking and using drugs very young. I got sober during a time when there were not a lot of young people in AA. Moreover, I was homeless. I got sober in the very same location I drank. I'm passionate about recovery, and about sharing my incredible experience with others in every way I can. I am sincerely happy, joyous, and free.

In this podcast, we discuss mystical works of literature, primarily Taoist text, and how they relate to alcohol recovery. Taoist Philosophy can be an excellent tool for embracing the idea of a “Higher Power.” Nature offers all of the examples necessary for a concept of a source of all life, much different but yet very similar in many ways to more traditional religious thinking. Here is a link to an online version of the Tao Te Ching; https://ttc.tasuki.org/display:Year:1972,1988,1996,2004/section:1 Thanks for checking out our podcast. If you listen and enjoy this podcast, please share with your friends in recovery! Do you want to stop drinking? Does alcoholism or addiction run in your family? Are you considering how to get sober? Are you seriously thinking about sobriety for the first time being alcohol is controlling your life as never before? Has the idea of a "Higher Power" kept you out of Alcoholics Anonymous or other 12 Step recovery programs?

Mindful Recovery is a podcast devoted to helping individuals who are struggling with trauma and addictions. Mindfulness is a research-based method for dealing with anxiety and trauma. Psychological and neuroscience studies have found that it is possible to increase the growth of neuronal pathways and retrain our brains in coping with these issues. Basic techniques like learning to pay attention to our own breathing and looking honestly and non-judgmentally at our broken spaces can begin to create an emotional holding space that allows us to live without reacting to the pain and begin deciding how we want to act on the world we find ourselves in. This becomes the beginning of recovery and, thus, the beginning of a new and abundant life in recovery. Whether you struggle with anxiety, mental illness, complex trauma, PTSD, addictions or a multitude of other problems, becoming mindful is the first step along that path. Here we provide practice, education and support in beginning your journey to healing.

Kintsugi, also known as kintsukuroi is the Japanese art of reconstructing broken pottery and ceramics. In its essential form, it is the art of making better that which has been broken. This concept though usually applied to ceramics, can be applied to our personal lives also. This podcast is about the journey we all take (in one way or another); falling flat, breaking apart, and rebuilding ourselves many times over, each time building with the lessons we've learned. I like to think of these lessons as the 'golden glue' that rebinds the broken pieces and contributes to the beauty of the reconstructed object. Through my journey, I’ve come across stories of others who have traveled the path before I did. Their stories often renewed my own sense of motivation and provided a sense or feeling of not being alone. This podcast is a mix of personal accounts of my experiences and an intent to pay forward what I have learned from others so that you might also benefit from it in the same way I have. On this journey, you drop in during the late stages of transition from the person I used to be to the person I am emerging into. Taking you with me during this process is the goal and my hope is that by talking about these experiences they leave you with something you can apply in yours making it more engaging and fulfilling. This is in summary a personal account of my experience leading up to and just after what feels like a significant transformation in the process of completing itself, with the goal of helping, inspiring, and/or leading you to undertake your own journey to a more fulfilled existence.

A very warm welcome to Saigon Sober! Our primary purpose is to provide a digital platform for people searching for experience, strength, and hope on demand, and a common solution to alcoholism and addiction, based on the 12-step program of recovery outlined in the book ‘Alcoholics Anonymous,’ the basic text for A.A. We are not affiliated with A.A. and represent ourselves only.

The Daily Reflection Podcast delivers hope, and inspiration through interviews with members of the recovery community through the lens of the Daily Reflection book. Each day, we ask a person in recovery to read the Daily Reflection for the day, and share how this relates to their program of recovery. The result is that we learn through their experience how they manage to get and stay sober. We are not affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous or any recovery program.

This show is dedicated to reviewing #joeroganexperiance episodes, the veteran mma commentator and now host also of #cjskylive has wanted to do this for half a decade and the stars finally aligned. CJ Sky will host a wrap up show of each rogan experiance breaking down 3 hours of material into a 30 minute review. Who knows maybe we will even get a review of a #joerogan comedy special. I may not always agree with Joe but I have always respected him, he is a pioneer in so many brands of entertainment we truly have not seen anything like him since Howard Stern. I look forward and am honored to provide a review for his shows.Host-CJ Sky
