What happens when two of music’s biggest names trade tequila shots for Topo Chicos? In this bold (and slightly ballsy) episode, Shane respectfully challenges Post Malone and Morgan Wallen to take on 90 days sober — not to prove a point, but to help change the game.

We break down what 90 alcohol-free days could do — not just for careers, health, and families — but for the millions watching from the sidelines. From skyrocketing productivity to building unshakable mental clarity, this episode dives into why ditching the booze could be the most rebellious and revolutionary move in country and hip-hop today.

We also explore:

  • The ripple effect on drinking culture & young fans
  • How sobriety could sharpen the brand, not soften the edge
  • Why real strength looks like choosing clarity over chaos

As always, it’s raw, it’s real, and it’s rooted in over a decade of lived experience. That Sober Guy Podcast has been the #1 sober podcast since 2014 — and we’re just getting warmed up.

What could you accomplish in your business or career if you quit alcohol? There was a point in my own life where I was showing up to work intoxicated or hungover, sometimes both, but I tried to keep a smile. On the inside I was exhausted, burned out, hungover, not motivated, and wondering how long I could keep faking it. Quitting drinking didn’t just save my health—it saved my job, my marriage, my sanity, and I found my purpose.

That Sober Guy Podcast - SGR Ep132 - Calvary Healing Center | Jim Kreitler
play

04/17/17 • 10 min

Born in New York City and raised in Aberdeen, New Jersey, Jim Kreitler earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Dayton. He then pursued a master’s in addiction counseling from Grand Canyon University and is a Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC) in the state of Arizona. Kreitler began his own personal recovery journey in 1998. Ten years later, he retired from a 28-year career to seek his calling to help addicted people.

As a person whose life was saved by treatment and subsequent recovery, he knows both sides: the devastation of the disorder and the awesomeness of recovery. On the job, he loves interacting with patients, both current ones and those who return to share stories about their success in recovery. “I believe in everyone’s ability to recover, and I am honored to be a part of that transformation,” he says.

Married for 37 years with two adult children, Kreitler still enjoys playing softball, but he admits he takes it a little slower these days. He also likes to run, bike, swim and listen to music.
