A podcast about the IFB Cult as told by survivor Sadie Carpenter, with her co-host Gavri'el HaCohen. This podcast covers the IFB, the history of the Independent Fundamental Baptist movement, other cults, other religions, and the real and present threat that cults and cult ideologies pose to society as a whole. Our goal is to promote freedom of mind, freedom of thought, and freedom of religion.

General Content Warning: In general we talk about a lot of potentially triggering topics on this show, including but not limited to suicide and mental health, racism, misogyny, PTSD and PTSD symptoms, child abuse, mental, physical, and sexual abuse, and spiritual abuse including guilt, shame, and fear. In most episodes we’ll mention at least a few of these topics, but we try very hard to avoid graphic detail unless it’s relevant to the story we’re telling, and we do our best to give the audience a heads-up before going into detail on any of these topics.

Life before, during and after the holocaust with Buchenwald survivor, Melvin Federbush. In hour 5 of this series, he reveals his harrowing experiences while in Nazi occupied Poland. Melvin Federbush was born in Deblin, Poland, July 1923. He attended Cheder and Yeshiva as well as high school. Within eight days of Hitler's invasion of Poland, his parents and nine year old twin sisters were killed during a bombing attack. Melvin was taken prisoner during the Nazi occupation and forced to live in ghettos and concentration camps including Triglitz and the infamous Buchenwald. While being transported to Theresienstadt in a cattle car he escaped. Pretending to be a Polish Christian he managed to find work on a farm until the Russian army advanced into Germany and liberated prisoners in the area as well as him. Of his entire family of approximately 110 people, only he and his brother survived. After the war Melvin lived in Zurich and Lugano, Switzerland where he continued his education. In 1950 he immigrated to the United States and eventually became a fine arts dealer. Melvin is active in his community. He participates in the Westchester Holocaust Education Center, the Westchester Hemophilia Association, the Holocaust Museum in Washington, and the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City. He is a member of Yad V'Shem in Jerusalem, the World Jewish Congress and B'nai B'rith, and a long-standing member of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Most recently he helped to organize the Holocaust Generations (children of survivors) and the Debliner Societies in NY and Florida. Melvin speaks publicly of his experiences to high school students and other organizations.

The podcast by survivors, for survivors, about survivors. We take a candid and fearless dive into brain injury and the world of invisible disability. Brain injury is the #1 killer and disabler of people under 40. A brain injury can change everything in an instant. Forever. Largely invisible, isolated and stigmatized, this community is also where the most incredible comeback stories of resilience, recovery and reinvention live. Between Two Brains sheds light on this community’s silent determination to survive with compassion (and a little irreverence). Our hosts live it every day. They get it - they get you - and they get real about life with a broken brain. Let’s talk about life beyond brain injury, celebrate neurodiversity and make the invisible visible together.

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Tiffany has made it her mission create real change, one person at a time; this was the premise for her podcast, ‘Speak Loud’. The objective of ‘Speak Loud’ was to create a platform that supports anyone that is currently suffering abuse in their life. The podcast consists of stories told by previous victims of abuse, that will showcase their triumph and provide hope and encouragement through the stories shared. The host, Tiffany, has experienced a lot during her life. With experiences like being emancipated at age 15 – the second case in the state of Utah for a child of age 15 to become legally emancipated from their parents, due to abuse – to working 3 jobs to support herself and her education, and being torch bearer of the 2020 Olympics, among many more achievements, Tiffany recounts her stories and experiences to help victims of abuse.Tiffany also founded S.H.A.R.E; an advocacy group for students by students who have experienced abuse. Tiffany and the S.H.A.R.E team were able to grow the advocacy group into a 501c3 non-profit – a huge accomplishment.‘Speak Loud’ has already grown rapidly and created a close-knit community.
