So, as you know I'm a sailor my dream is to sail and discover new places, live the adventure and find peace. I am a work in progress and I'm working toward my goal. Even if your dream has nothing to do with sailing, hopefully you will get something out of this podcast.

My guests will be sharing their stories of what they've been through. How they stay happy. How they adjust when things aren't going the way they thought they should. The biggest point is how do you live your dreams when you get handed this terrible disease or other life event that takes you down. As a caregiver, you are now trying to figure out your new life after being told someone you love will be fighting for their life. How will you work though this and find the balance moving forward? I hope this episode gives you some of those answers.

Are you exhausted from striving to be perfect? When you push to be perfect, you may put yourself under more stress by trying to control things and over time this can potentially lead to chronic illness.

Today we are exploring the impact of perfectionism. In this episode, you will get practical strategies to release stress and anxiety and find acceptance of yourself.

My guest, Vicki Smith is a licensed psychotherapist and coach that specializes in people pleasing and perfectionism.

Perfectionism can be a hard habit to break with the way we see everything in the world. We judge ourselves based on what we see around us when you need to be focused on who you are. Embracing our shared human experience can help reduce our shame, because it reminds you that your setbacks are not unique and that you are not alone in your pain.

Today Vicki brings her personal and professional experience and shares her thoughts on perfectionism and self-compassion. Through mindfulness she helps you discover your true nature and to share it with the world. To live the life you’ve always wanted!
