Our podcast helps Christians live a Christ focused life in a world that has become increasingly secular and Religionless. In a world full of lies it is more important than ever that we stay connected to the truth, Jesus Christ and God's Word is that truth. Nickie and I will do our best to help Christians make sense of the news, understand the world around us and avoid the traps that lead us off the narrow path. We will look to keep the content current, focusing on news of the day, how to make sense of the madness in the world, sermons that we are listening to and pass them along. It might be a book or article that we have read that we believe is worth mentioning, any and everything we can think of to help you live a life that is pleasing to God. My wife and I have been married for 18 years, have four children and full-time jobs. We aren't Pastors or theologians, just real people wanting to connect with fellow believers and build a community. We want more then "health and wealth" gospels or "your best life now" mantra's, we want Jesus! If this sounds like you, please subscribe to the channel and drop us a comment, we would love to hear from you! We will be uploading new content every Saturday and Sunday. family devotionals on Sunday and our Main big show every Saturday. More and more we are hearing about pastors and ministry leaders that feel like they just don’t fit the mold of what American Church culture expects them to be, expects them to look like, preach like, and even think like. We wanted to make a podcast for ministers dealing with the current social and cultural issues here in the US and the Church. We will look at these things through CSRM’s 3 tier paradigm of Theological Truths, Philosophical Principles, and Methodological Models. Hopefully, to help us all regain perspective and regain some sanity. Support this podcast: www.patreon.com/ministrymisfits

Did you know that a 2018 Lifeway study showed that 49% of ministers say they never talk to their churches about mental illness? The same study found that 59% of Christians suffering from mental illness said that they wanted their church leaders to speak more openly on the subject. We strive to normalize the discussion about mental health among Christians. Ben, a licensed professional counselor, also provides valuable insight for the family members and friends of those who suffer from mental illness to help their loved one during their time of need. This podcast is pragmatic, secular and makes complicated Buddhist principles easy to understand. Yeshe is a Buddhist monk. He is from England and teaches meditation, Buddhist philosophy and mindfulness. Yeshe spent several years in a monastery in the foothills of the Himalayas teaching young monks basic Buddhist philosophy and meditation. He now offers teachings freely to all in a manner that is unpretentious and clear. He does not demand students to blindly accept what he says, but instead invites them to examine their own minds and experiences to discover the validity of Gautama Buddha’s teachings. Yeshe quietly demonstrates Gautama Buddha’s teaching on compassion through the charitable trust ‘Sangye Menla’ that he founded in 2008 in Chandigarh, Northern India. The trust provides medical assistance and care to people from the Himalayan region in India.

Hello and welcome to the Friday ReFresh, a Ben and Travis podcast. I’m Ben from Ben and Travis and I have been working as a minister for 23 years and as a counselor for the last 10 years. I recognize that there are a lot of things in our world that impact different people in different ways. Working in counseling I’ve learned that there are a lot more things that can rock our world that I never knew existed. Many of those things are hidden struggles that others may never know about — or at least they don’t know about until something comes along and quite literally “opens up a can” of past trauma or hidden struggles. So I invite you to come along with me on this journey of exploration and understanding through this podcast which offers short episodes and hopefully informational and motivational material to help you as you prepare for the last day of the week. Not every episode will be about a mental health struggle but there will certainly be weeks that are. Sometimes we will just hope to give you a boost as you close out the week. However, there are some rules of engagement here though - some understanding that I want you to have before you agree to go on the journey. 1. Keep An Open Mind - Some of the things we talk about here may be new territory. It may be like one of those movies like Journey to the Center of the Earth where you see things that seem hard to comprehend. I know there were a lot of things that were hard for me to grasp at first and has certainly been hard to relate to others. So think of it like Journey to the Center of Your Soul. 2. It’s an Ever-Changing Landscape - The counseling field is something that seems to change all the time so understand that I may say some things that may be different than what you might have been taught in the past. It may also change as I record these over time. It is also true that various theories of counseling reveal different techniques for dealing with things so I will likely be sharing things from a wide variety of therapeutic mindsets. 3. No Two Experiences are the Same - Just because we share a thought about anxiety or depression doesn’t mean it will apply to every person who hears and so this is certainly not a replacement for good person centered counseling - but you may very well find some helpful tips for various things you may face. So, do you think you are good to start that journey? I hope so. Travis and I hope through this short podcast, along with the weekly Helping, Healing, Humor Podcast and our website to bring a better understanding of mental health to all people but especially to the church. It is a part of us that has been ignored for far too long. I hope that even in this short little podcast to help us have a little more understanding.

Mommying While Muslim is a one of a kind podcast where two American born and bred Muslim moms share their experiences to raise second generation kids. Having experienced both pre and post 9/11 America, they're acutely aware of the unique challenges their families face on top of the regular messes that all moms share. Mommying While Muslim is a space to take back their stories, and tell those no one will air on the news or portray fully or fairly in the media. Zaiba Hasan and Uzma Jafri are moms first, careerwomen second, and global citizens at heart. They meet taboo topics head on because they weren't allowed to do it growing up, not at home or at school and work. They aim to better their immediate households, communities, and their momsisterhood the world over by telling the truths sometimes people don't want to face or to hear. Not everyone has the privileges they have and they are eager to learn, more than they are to share their own experiences. Always looking to give back, they find women and families who need a mic because no one needs a voice; they just need an opportunity to speak. Besides tough social issues, they also tackle political ones because when laws affect their kids, they're coming for them as well as the ones who make them! There's no lane that doesn't get taken here. Along the way, they recruit momallies for Muslim Americans who have been inordinately targeted for the last 20 years. True moms know that ALL our children deserve to be safe, loved, and happy, and we bust every yellow brick on the Islamaphobic road to make sure they all are. If you like good trouble, this one's for you!

An improvised satire from the staff of a fictional mega church. Mega is a critically acclaimed podcast that hilariously satirizes contemporary megachurches and their associated evangelical subculture. Hosted by Holly Laurent and Greg Hess, this show offers a unique take on American religious culture through a range of comedic characters and segments. It was named "Best Satire" by Vulture. One of the most exciting aspects of Mega is its guest interviews, which feature a variety of comedians, actors, and thinkers such as Louie Anderson, Lauren Lapkus, Duncan Trussell, Jason Mantzoukas, Paul Scheer, Lisa Gilroy, Scott Aukerman, Tom Papa, Jen Hatmaker, Adal Rifai, and more. These guests bring their own comedic styles and perspectives to the show, creating memorable moments that keep fans coming back for more. In addition to its guest interviews, Mega is also known for its signature episodes featuring Holly Laurent playing Day Labont, a skeptical teenager who brings on guests like his atheist thinker friend Hemant Mehta. The show's humor and tone have been compared to the mockumentary style of Christopher Guest's films and the dry humor of The Office or Parks and Rec, making it a must-listen for fans of these genres. Whether you're a believer or a skeptic, Mega is a podcast that offers something for everyone. Its witty improvisation, spot-on parodies, and sharp commentary satirizing contemporary religion and politics make it one of the most entertaining and thought-provoking shows available today. Join the Mega congregation and tune in for hilarious insights on the world of megachurches and evangelical Christianity.

The Masculine Journey a 30 min radio show. God designed men to be dangerous, says John Eldredge in his book Wild at Heart. Simply look at the dreams and desires written in the heart of every boy: To be a hero, to be a warrior, to live a life of adventure and risk. Sadly, most men abandon those dreams and desires-aided by a Christianity that feels like nothing more than pressure to be a "nice guy." It is no wonder that many men avoid church, and those who go are often passive and bored to death. A radio show designed to give men permission to be what God designed them to be-dangerous, passionate, alive, and free. Listen in with Sam Main, Robby Dilmore, Dennis Breeden, Vinnie Mannino and Al Hendly as they use movie clips and their stories to chronicle The Masculine Journey

The Renewed Mindsets Podcast reintroduces the basic tenets of Christianity to adults who may have missed some important information while they were building careers and raising children. Using the Bible to teach in an engaging and humorous way, we side step the traditional, boring way of hearing about God; who He is and what He expects from us.
The main focus is towards Gen-X , men and women, whose expectation for life at this age may not line up with what they had expected in their youth. Many of them divorced, empty nesters asking the question, "Is this all there is?"
Filled with truth and sprinkled with pop culture references from the 1980's and 1990's, these teachings will help them continue life in peace, with a deeper relationship with Christ, by showing how to avoid Conforming to the world by Transforming their mind.. to think on the things of God.

Husband is basically an Atheist and wife leans Agnostic but mostly Atheist and we’re just having some fun at the Bible’s expense while learning more about what our neighbors claim we’re going to hell over.

Your Church Friends Podcast was started in hopes of helping Christians and non-Christians alike see God, Jesus, and the church through a Biblical lens. We cover a multitude of topics, ideas, theologies, and thoughts. We try our best to have honest and genuine conversations about them all. We enjoy taking a side by side look at what has been taught or is being taught and comparing it to what the Bible says. As Your Church Friends, we hope that our podcast helps all our listeners to listen to dig deeper in their faith and grow closer to God. Whether we entertain you, make you laugh, challenge your thoughts, or even make you a little frustrated our main goal is to propel you forward on your journey with God. https://yourchurchfriends.rocks/
