Season 3 - Episode 3 - Finding Gratitude in Wild Contagious Hope
A Cup of Gratitude
01/24/22 • 77 min
This week I speak with Amber Higgins. She is an entrepreneur, award-winning actress, producer, and artist. Amber has brought her vision and creativity to life through her film career, ministry, and clothing designs. She is committed to helping people conquer their fears with the goal of teaching others how to enjoy the journey of living a purposeful life. It is important for Amber that each person understands why they were made as in Psalm 139 which reveals that each person has a story to bring glory to the kingdom. We discuss her life experiences in a brave and vulnerable way. It’s amazing to see how Amber took the very things that were meant to keep her down and used them as an incentive to be fierce and bold! The hope she found from her faith in Jesus has propelled her forward. I love that her boldness and hope are contagious, that she inspires others to rise up and walk into their calling too! You won’t want to miss this inspiring episode!

Last week on our special episode, we looked at the Red sea Exodus as a symbol of the blood that was shed on the cross that would ultimately provide freedom from captivity for the chosen people of God.
This week we look at an intimate relationship, at the beautiful personal healing that God desires to give each and every one of His children. You will definitely be encouraged! This message was such a hope-filled revelation to me!

Season 5 - Episode 7 - Finding Gratitude Serving with Your Heart
A Cup of Gratitude
02/13/23 • 63 min
This week I speak with Leann Faint who coming from a broken family herself, inherently understands the struggles of the students she works with. Called to teaching, Leann began her career as an English teacher in a mainstream high school in a low socioeconomic area in Australia. While raising her three children, she moved into Special Education, a field Leann quickly became passionate about. This led to Leann studying her Masters in Special Education and then gaining her role of Head of Special Education. This role prepared her for working with complex youth, families, and outside agencies. In early 2018 Leann felt led to apply for a position at Carinity Education Southside after 20 years in the public sector. For the past five years, she has strongly felt both the burden and the privilege of being the caretaker of the extraordinary young women who are students at Southside. During this time, Leann has completed further study in Trauma Aware Education at the post-graduate level. This is one of the stories I love to share! As we look at her childhood, we are able to see God’s plans to use every experience, both good and bad, to pour into others who are hurting. Leann’s own healing journey now guides the healing path of young girls in their struggles. You won’t want to miss this inspiring episode!

Season 2 - Episode 1 - Finding Gratitude in the Ripples of Revival
A Cup of Gratitude
07/19/21 • 74 min
This week I speak with Nalini. She shares her story because she believes everyone is born with dreams for the future then reality strikes its hurdles and before you know it, the dream is a distant childhood fantasy, not suitable for adults. You have to go on a journey of self-discovery that leads to molding and shaping like you never expected to then come out years later still holding on to the very same dream, only this time, you’re ready for it. But this will only happen if you don’t allow the hurdles to sabotage the dream. She stands alongside the dreamers, the visionaries, the ones who cling on to a hope that this season will pass, and if I simply endure, stand firm, I will see my dream come to fruition. Nalini was the holder of dormant dreams and as a result, lived with a silent ache for way too long. What She didn’t realize was, that by shoving her dreams and desires into the back of the wardrobe, by writing herself off, disqualifying, and self-sabotaging herself, She was quietly dying on the inside. Sound familiar? She was becoming a lesser version of herself and in doing so, was unable to give the best to her loved ones. The ripple effect is far-reaching and doesn’t stop with you. We have way too much to give to allow lies and hurdles to rob us of who we really are! You don’t want to miss this story of self-reflection, perseverance, and hope!

Season 3 - Episode 5 - Finding Gratitude in the Pursuit of God
A Cup of Gratitude
02/07/22 • 76 min
This week I speak with Jay Lee who is a Christian Blogger and host of the Daily Sabbath Podcast. Jay has a passion for communicating God's word in a simple and relevant way. He enjoys engaging with diverse audiences across lines of ethnicity, culture, and theological beliefs. Jay served as a pastor for over 13 years, but he didn’t always have a faith. God pursued Jay with a lot of love and an amazing plan for his life. Having a real relationship with Jesus changed him from a kid who didn’t even think about God into a man who shares the gospel every chance he can with kindness, attentiveness, and grace. This interview was Jay’s first experience on the other side of the microphone and it was awesome to see the thread of God’s provision for him from his childhood up until now. You will see a lot of your story in Jay’s story and you will be encouraged!
