Join me, Nathan Maingard, for an intimate solo episode of “We Are Already Free.” In this personal journal, I explore the depths of our inner limitations, the power of a courageous investment, and the mind-boggling reality of living in infinity.

Life can be a challenging dance, my dear listener (I know you know). We all carry the weight of childhood lessons and societal patterns that limit our true selves. I'm here to remind you that you are not alone on this journey. Together, we are navigating these uncharted waters and discovering the ways of living a more honest, authentic, and connected life.

This episode is a personal reflection, a stream of consciousness journal from the depths of my being. It is a vulnerable space where I share my thoughts with those of you who listen more deeply. I am immensely grateful for your presence in my life.

Topics Covered:

  • Unmasking Our Inner Limitations: childhood lessons and societal patterns can hinder our true selves. This is an invitation to embark on a path towards liberation and authenticity.
  • The Power of Courageous Investment: I share an exciting leap of faith about my decision to invest in a long-term podcast coaching program. Explore the transformative potential of investing in personal growth (this has been a game changer in my life)
  • Embracing Infinity: Journey into the depths of infinite existence and ponder the cycle of enlightenment, forgetting, and remembrance.
  • Changing the World from Within: Focus on what we can control - our thoughts, actions, and words. Discover the profound impact of nurturing our internal landscapes and embracing our enoughness as we navigate changing times.
  • Embracing Your Weirdness: Uncover the true meaning of “weird”! Embrace your authentic self, celebrate your quirks, and find solace in the knowledge that you are not alone on this journey.

Tune in to this thought-provoking episode as we explore what it means to live a life of authenticity, connection, and freedom. May this inspire you as you embark on a journey of self-discovery as you remember that we are already free.

Ready to step up and own your beautifully weird authentic self!?

Yay! Find out more about how I can support you on this journey.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by how complicated living a life of vibrant health seems? Always another diet fad, another bit of news about how bad fat is, then how good it is, and so on? Well, you’re in the right place! Today’s guest, Dr Gary Shlifer, has simple solutions which will help you to align with your ancestry and up-level your lifestyle.

Dr. Shlifer is a board-certified internal medicine physician specialising in preventative care, nutrition/metabolism and anti-aging medicine. He brings his robust experienced with hospital inpatient medicine to his outpatient primary care practice in order to help prevent and cure disease for his patients. He is the founder of Evolve Healthcare in Los Angeles, a multi-specialty integrative medicine clinic focused on disease prevention and lifestyle optimization. He is also cofounder of Sapien, an organization focused on promoting health education and advancing health information technology. Through his companies and community outreach, the doctor works to promote his message of healthy living, eating and lifestyle practices.

In this far-ranging conversation, we cover everything from the mistake of asking too many mistakes as a doctor, to how our ancestry is a great place to look for the answers to our health needs, to how important it is that we talk about, face, and embrace death to truly live...and much more.

Towards the end, Dr Gary answers the question I ask in every episode about what We Are Already Free means to him in a way I found especially inspiring, hopeful, and empowering.

I’m your host, Nathan Maingard, and, as a highly sensitive person in a highly insensitive society, I was very nearly crushed by my efforts to fit a mould our society just calls ‘being a good citizen’. Having navigated my own healing of depression, burnout, suicidal ideation and other lovely things like that, it’s my honour to help others like me to bloom into the unique beauty they came here to bring... through breathwork, empowering songs, stories and poems, inner life skills coaching...and of course, ice baths (sorry, I know I’ve been talking about them a lot recently, but seriously, they’re frickin’ EPIC!).

If you ever feel like a victim of the things that happen to you (rather than empowered to choose your reaction in each moment), then today's episode is for you. Our guest is medicine woman, enthusiastic human, and dear new friend Sara Ladyfrog. She takes us on a deep dive into the warrior empowerment of the frog medicine of Kambo.

In case you don’t know what that is, Kambo is a ritual named after the poisonous secretions of the giant monkey frog, found in the Amazon Jungle. The secretion is humanely gathered from living frogs. When applying the medicine, burns are made on the person’s skin, and the kambo is applied directly to the burns. It’s a very physical, very intense experience.

I’ve worked with Kambo five times since 2009, and every one of those experiences has been incredibly challenging, healing, and empowering.

Listen to this episode to learn more about this medicine, and overall more about what it takes to be an empowered peaceful warrior, to meet life with grace, courage, and the freedom of choosing.

We discuss...

  • Sara’s journey from divorce, drug addiction, and alcohol abuse to her path of healing herself and supporting others in healing
  • The story of Amazonian children teaching Sara how to wash clothes while watching for crocodiles!
  • We could all do with more near-death experiences
  • What is a real safe space?
  • Near the end, we discuss How to be a healer (the answer might surprise you)
  • And, you guessed it, so much more...

In our pursuit of self-love, why do we so often turn to practices that may actually harm us? If you're like me, you've struggled with parts of your body that don't meet the impossible beauty standards set by social media, advertising, and Hollywood.

What's astonishing is the silent hypocrisy within many communities that champion consciousness and natural living. Despite their commitment to spiritual growth, many still embrace cosmetic surgery and other beauty enhancements without a second thought, often ignoring the potential physical and energetic tolls these choices might carry.

About Raine Dunn

Joining us today is Raine Dunn, an inspirational speaker and health advocate who has turned her personal struggle with breast implant illness into a crusade for change. After experiencing severe health setbacks from cosmetic surgery, Raine embarked on a journey of recovery that led her to speak out against the dangers of unrealistic beauty standards and the importance of holistic wellness. Her work now focuses on empowering others to make informed health decisions and to embrace their natural beauty.

Episode Highlights

  • Why Beauty Isn't Skin Deep: The Real Costs of Cosmetic Enhancements: Dive into the often unseen emotional and physical repercussions of cosmetic surgery.
  • What Everyone Should Know About Breast Implant Illness: Discover key insights into the symptoms and long-term effects of breast implant illness.
  • The Surprising Link Between Spiritual Growth and Physical Health:
  • Explore how true wellness integrates both spiritual well-being and physical health.
  • Questioning Beauty Standards: A Call to Action for Societal Change: Discuss the need for a shift in how society views and values beauty.
  • Listening to Your Body's Wisdom: A Guide to Self-Care: Learn the importance of tuning into your body’s signals as a path to healing and empowerment.
