Letters From Home - "Living and Loving Out Loud" Raven Hartwell
play

11/17/21 • 55 min

Have you made a mistake, a really big one, early on in marriage? Did you think your marriage was over? Our society is so prone to cancel for the smallest of transgressions. But not God. God wants to not only completely heal us, but to have our healing be a story that can be lived and shared out loud, to help others heal.
Raven Hartwell has a beautiful love story of redemption, that she so lovingly and vulnerably shares. She has a wonderful childlike faith, and you can hear that 100% trust in her God as she shares. You will be so encouraged. Raven and her husband Keith love and serve the Lord with their precious sons, influencing this world for good.
Rev. 12:11- “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. “

Letters From Home - "Love Beyond Borders" Sean McCoy (Pt. 2)
play

08/28/20 • 56 min

Pt. 2 of Sean’s story. Three things you will want to hear in this conversation: his heart’s desire to truly understand and love everyone, as he sees Jesus did; his bright mind, that is constantly reasoning, asking why, and reminding him of his own humanity; and his boyish humor that lights up a room. Add to this the vast amount of countries he has visited, his experience in the military, mistakes that he has made, and a loving family, that has helped cancer patients for decades, and you have a moving inspiring listen. It is like sitting at the table with your wiser older brother you respect. Enjoy!
Sean McCoy is the host of “Come to the Table Podcast”. His banner statement is ‘love in action is listening to understand, not to react.’ He has a long list of beautiful moving stories for you to enjoy, that can be found on his website:
https://www.thecometothetablepodcast.com/. Sean is a generous, kind man, always available to engage in conversation

Letters From Home - Bonus Episode "Everyday Extraordinary Characters"
play

05/22/20 • 30 min

What comes to mind when u picture people in the Bible? Archaic, unrelatable stories? perfection beyond reach? When u take a look at the characters in the Bible and immerse yourself in their story, and read all of the details, you see people. People like us. Flawed. Headstrong. Humble. Caring. Awful. Saved. Transformed. People.
In episodes 11-19, we asked the question “What character in the Bible do you most admire or relate to?” Here is an audio collage of the answer to that question. Praying that we all find a new joy, as we revisit the characters in the Bible that we sometimes misunderstand.

When tragedy comes, it affects everything. But through tragedy, hope can bloom. In the Bible Hebrews 6:19 says “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul...” Heidi’s story is about the hope that has anchored her life. She takes us through her darkest...and hardest days... and in every step you see her faith in her ever present Lord...who is holding her up...guiding her path...through valleys and leading her to beautiful but rocky pastures...pastures of forgiveness...healing...and ultimately, pleasant gardens. Truly our God is the great designer of the landscape of our lives.
Heidi said these verses comfort her. Psalm 71:20-21′′You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. You will increase my greatness and comfort me again.”

Letters From Home - “The Hustler Meets The Healer” Tawnya Lundberg
play

05/08/20 • 95 min

Have you ever seen a girl wandering around the red light district or on the streets scantily clad...and u know what she’s doing...and it breaks your heart, and you just pray & wonder where her parents are, and what happened? Today’s guest started jacking tricks at age 12... yes... age 12... and she shares with us how she got there.
She also shares the hustle & encounters that led her to a safe house...and ultimately into the arms of our loving God, the Great Healer...who has done an incredible work of transformation in her. Now she is a Mama of one precious son, seeking to pay it forward, with her church family, from the outside, with Kairos Prison Ministries.
This episode would not be possible without the memory of one beautiful everyday extraordinary lady of faith she encountered early on in her foster home journey, “Big Mama.”
