We’re at our most vulnerable when we go to our doctors. But what happens when we can’t trust them? Dr. Death is the award-winning series hosted by Laura Beil, now in its fourth season: Bad Magic.

Need more Dr. Death? With Wondery+, you can listen to all episodes, unlock exclusive content, get early access to upcoming episodes, and enjoy an always ad-free experience. Start your free trial in the Wondery App or visit wondery.com/links/dr-death/ now.

When a charismatic young doctor announces revolutionary treatments for cancer and HIV, patients from around the world turn to him for their last chance. As medical experts praise Serhat Gumrukcu’s genius, the company he co-founded rockets in value to over half a billion dollars. But when a team of researchers makes a startling discovery, they begin to suspect the brilliant doctor is hiding a secret.

Season 3: Paolo is a smart and handsome surgeon, renowned for his ability to perform surgeries that transform his patients’ lives. When television producer Benita covers him for a story, he’ll transform her life too, but not in the ways she expects. As Benita crosses professional lines to be with him, she learns how far Paolo will go to protect his secrets. And halfway around the world, four doctors at a prestigious medical institute make shocking discoveries of their own that call everything into question.

Season 2: If someone you love is diagnosed with cancer you want them to get the best treatment from the best doctors. In 2013, patients in Michigan thought Farid Fata was that doctor. Between his prestigious education, years of experience and pleasant bedside manner, Fata was everything you could want in a doctor. But he was not who he appeared to be. From Wondery, this is the story of hundreds of patients in Michigan, a doctor, and a poisonous secret.

Season 1: We’re at our most vulnerable when we go to our doctors. We trust the person at the other end of that scalpel. We trust the hospital. We trust the system. Christopher Duntsch was a neurosurgeon who radiated confidence. He claimed he was the best in Dallas. If you had back pain, and had tried everything else, Dr. Duntsch could give you the spine surgery that would take your pain away. But soon his patients started to experience complications, and the system failed to protect them. Which begs the question: who - or what - is that system meant to protect? From Wondery, the network behind the hit podcast Dirty John, Dr. Death is a story about a charming surgeon, 33 patients and a spineless system.

Hi, I'm Jeffrey and I am a Feldenkrais Method and Kinēsa practitioner. Feldenkrais and Kinesa are somatic practices that focus primarily on helping people become aware of the invisible, habitual choices they make. What we don't know we're doing is where the gold is. Through experimentation, you can find new and better choices. We use movement as the primary vehicle for exploration. But why movement? People are numb and disconnected from their bodies. Movement is connected with and influences thinking and emotional patterns. The ability to move well deeply affects the quality of a person's life. Learning through somatic movement processes is fun, mind-expanding, and always a new adventure.

See more at kinkyintroverts.com. RULE NUMBER ONE: You must be at least 18 years old to listen to this content! This podcast aims to bridge the gap between people who live the BDSM lifestyle within the community and those who prefer to kink it at home. Brian and Kitten have both been in the lifestyle with and apart from their local communities. By coming together and joining their family units, leaving the house has become less of an option. Still wanting that community feel, they hit the airwaves and hope to put out good information, learn from others, and play on air as they continue their lifestyle journey together. Brian and Kitten are switches, sadists, masochists, and edge players (knives and blood make them horny), and have an Owner/pet dynamic. Brian is mellow but evil and Kitten is feisty with a hell of a bite! The goal is to share weekly content so that listeners can live vicariously through them so we can all grow together. Philosophy and philosophical enquiries are relevant in some shape or form to many aspects of everyday life, for example our treatment of the environment, the rapidity of today's technological progress, whether animals should have rights and if so how they should compare to ours. Philosophy also encompasses questions about the existence of God, how life is sustained on earth, and even at what point should the Government intrude on a person's freedom. This album introduces the study of philosophy and the human situation, and contains talks and debates from leading philosophical thinkers and teachers, past and present. This material forms part of The Open University course A211 Philosophy and the human situation.

I worked in the microelectronics and biomedical device manufacturing industries for over 30 years. In 2007, I sustained an injury to my spine in a bad rollover accident, ultimately requiring the implant of a spinal cord stimulator to manage my pain. Three years ago, because of a surgery that didn’t go as planned, I contracted one of the most painful chronic conditions, CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome), also known as the suicide disease. Despite these challenges, with the help and education I received from my pain specialist, I made the arduous journey from Striving to Thriving despite my challenges with chronic pain. I have devoted my life to continuing her work, helping those struggling in chronic pain.My podcasts will address a myriad of topics related to chronic pain, neuroscience, wellness, lifestyle adaptation, neurology and psychology of pain, various forms of therapy, and more. I will also host special guests from time to time who provide solutions, treatments, technologies and legislation regarding treatment and care of people afflicted with chronic pain. If you find value in my podcast, please leave a positive rating with whatever service you use. If you have some ideas, topic or constructive comments, please send them to me at [email protected]
