This highly listened to episode from Discovering and Living the Best Version...of YOU - The Podcast, sounds like getting over an illness...or worse! In many ways,I think the inference is valid. For many, perhaps most, an abiding and deepening relationship with a "higher power," refer to him or her as they might, Faith is central to them living the best version of themselves, regardless of the identifying signage that hangs from their heart, be it Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Sikh, and the list goes on virtually without end. While they in action have much that portrays them as being different in their beliefs and traditions, one fact sadly binds them all together. Each had its beginnings as an expression of faith, yet over time, morphed into the opposite of Divine intended Infinite Intelligence...and became purveyors, sources, whisperers, bringers...of religion, and with it, a litany of heartache, with women globally being the primary target! Divine Grace and relationship were replaced by the works of men and with it, the law. You won't want to miss Rabbi Alicia's perspective, experience and wisdom. Enjoy!

Show Summary
Life is most assuredly, not linear. It's littered with both blessings and bruises, a 2-sided coin. In the main, what is at issue, is our attitude! As you listen to Rabbi Alicia, your heart will be in for a special life-giving treat! ENJOY!

Key Topics:

  • It's been suggested by some that in life, we ought not to shoot too high, Others feel that it's just the opposite. Getting Rabbi Alicia's take will glue you to your seat!
  • When you ask someone how they are, is it with your voice or your heart? The difference is HUGE and can determine whether they were better off with your silence, or not.
  • If all progress begins by telling the truth, what is truth?

Show Summary:
Show me someone who thinks they have been wronged and/or violated by another, whether based on property rights, ethics, morals, or a myriad of other considerations, and I'll show you someone who believes they're entitled...to justice. With a national traditional justice recidivism rate of 40 percent if the crime were non-violent to 64 percent if violent, clearly, there must be a better way! There is...by nipping things in the bud! Imagine a world in which our response to "wrongs", is for the person who caused harm to take responsibility and make it "right." This, is the essence of "restorative justice."
Key Topics:

  • Restorative Justice affirms the notion of NO SHAME NO BLAME. What does that mean?
  • What is the Restorative Justice process?
  • How the Restorative Justice culture has positively impacted our communities, States and the world.
  • How Restorative Justice heals bruised relationships.
  • The 10 key themes all participants are invited to buy into.

L'Chaim; a Celebration and Forgiveness...of Life!

Discovering and Living the Best Version...of YOU!

play

08/14/20 • 13 min

Show Summary:
I don't know anyone who doesn't love the movie Fiddler on the Roof. The story line, the characters, the music, it's simply a timeless treasure! There's a never to be forgotten scene that takes part in a bar involving Tevye and Lazar Wolf. Tevye had just given his blessing, his permission, allowing for the marriage between the financially well off Lazar Wolf and Tevye's oldest daughter Tzeitel. This was a time of great celebration (not for Tzeitel though, who loves someone else, the tailor and not so well off Motel). For the citizens of Anatevka, this was a break from the constant religious persecution the Jewish people experienced at the hands of their Russian overlords. The two men break out into a foot-stomping rendition of the song L'Chaim, a Hebrew word meaning "to life." The lyrics are telling though, for they portray what life really is actually made up of and not a picture of what we want it to be. It bears witness to the importance of an acceptance of this reality, forgiving life for the bruises we are sure to experience and an acknowledgment that actually, this is what leads to personal growth and freedom. Tevye and Lazar Wolf get it! Invest the next 11 minutes listening to this podcast and you will make progress in this important area as well! CHEERS!

But Now...a Divine Heart Transplant - A Rewritten Future!

Discovering and Living the Best Version...of YOU!

play

08/07/20 • 10 min

Show Summary: So what is a "but now" moment? In the most simplistic of terms, though it's anything but simple, it's a "seed change" as to the vision and direction of one's heart, what it sees, not in the common understanding of sight mind you...deeper, much deeper! It applies in a myriad of ways...relationally, spiritually, emotionally, physically, creatively and so much more. It's a setting free from a prison of our own creation, a process beginning when we honestly and sincerely come to a place we no longer wish to inhabit and take ownership of all we had contributed and continue to contribute to the situation at hand, acknowledging all we were and are in control of.
Is this the time for you to claim your "but now" moment and be freed from your incarceration of the heart? If so, investing the next 9 minutes listening to this episode, might just be one of the most important investments you've ever made!

Show Summary: Just as a STOP sign is not a suggestion, but is a clear and unambiguous directive to be followed without compromise for our own good, to STOP moving forward or possibly ignore it at our peril, so too, there are Divinely breathed personal STOP signs, moments in every human agenda that most would chock up to "bad luck,"...then there's Camilla. Not only did her STOP sign event not derail her, she considers it to be the best thing that ever happened to her. When you hear her story, it will be hard to imagine how!
Key Topics and Themes:

  • Discover how much more important it is to sharpen the proverbial ax in your life, of slowing down, versus rushing to cut down "the tree", if becoming the best version of yourself is important to you
  • Why contracting breast cancer was the best thing that happened to Camilla, giving her the life that was initially intended for her
  • There is a Last Time for all things and oftentimes its a heart breaking moment, arresting our attention
  • How slowing down is a love gift to you and others
  • What does it mean to have ears that hear...to deeply listen?
  • Learning to listen to the body and what it needs should always be our first priority
  • Life's lessons aren't to be kept but generously given away

Show Summary
Without a doubt, those who bring a message to their congregation, are the ones who should be benefiting the most! It would seem that the Divine's purpose is for the bringer of a message to "get it" first. This is especially important given the enormous vacuums that can now reside in our hearts given what we're all experiencing, making us vulnerable to whatever comes along. We desperately need that which results in authentic heart-change and not simply what comes from mere lifeless words on a page! What Rabbi Alicia has to share is simply endlessly stunning...soul stirring. Listen to her NOW. ENJOY!

Key Topics:

  • What needs to happen in order for a stirring message received to take deep root, leading to genuine lifelong and positive change?
  • Have you ever wanted to know how to discern Divine purpose for your life? Rabbi Alicia's advice gets effectively to the core and delivers just what the Rabbi ordered!.
  • When it comes down to what we're passing on to others, having an "Ethical Will" can deliver to those we love, a timeless, priceless gift when we pass. Rabbi Alicia opens her heart, affording listeners a peek into the depths of what's most important to her.
