An Invite To Peace: Changing and Transforming Lives Through the Power of God - Life Change Series: Does God Care? Marriage Crisis, Battling (and Healing) Addiction, Mental Health, and Grief - Anthony Weaver
play

01/05/25 • 79 min

Have you ever felt like it couldn’t get worse, and then it does—even in a Christian marriage? Even with a spiritual life?

Anthony and his wife thought their relationship couldn’t get much worse, and their personal lives weren’t any better. He found himself questioning, "Will it get better? Is there a way to save this? To save us?" Alcohol addiction became his escape.

"What is marriage supposed to look like?" he wondered. Where is God in all of this?

Christian marriage is already hard, but being married to a Police Officer and dealing with mental health struggles behind the scenes makes it even harder—often toxic.

When everything falls apart and you’re pushed to the edge, the only thing left to do is trust Jesus to redeem and transform it all.

Is God really capable? Will He show up?

If you’ve ever been where Anthony or I have been, it’s time to finally face those questions. It’s time to find healing and connect with the One who can break your addictions, heal your grief, and lead your transformation.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Do you struggle with anxiety, alcohol addiction, or marriage issues? Spirituality? How about pride? What is "Marine marriage"?

Have you ever felt invincible? What's it like behind the scenes as a Marine? How does it feel to be responsible for protecting the President?

What happens when you're so full of pride because of who you think you are and what you do, that nothing can stand in your way? Not even God...

Then, it all comes crashing down. The accumulation of work and life causes such anxiety that you freak out over a simple sound from your phone, and you're not even sure why your wife would stick around.

You contemplate life, and death, and wonder if it would all be better if it was over.

Can Jesus fix what is so desperately broken?

Will God really come through?

If you’re like Josh or I, it’s time to answer those tough Christian questions and connect with the One who can break your addictions, heal your mental health, and lead your transformation.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

play

10/28/24 • 78 min

Have you ever questioned if God is truly there? Wondered if Jesus even cares? Maybe you’ve thought that Christianity is just a story invented by the church.

Is Jesus real? Is He even listening? Is the spiritual life even available to me?

Addiction, grief, suicidal thoughts, childhood abuse, trauma, anger, a broken family—Adam Davis has faced it all. As a First Responder and police officer, those mental health struggles were only magnified by the weight of his job.

Then, one night, sitting alone in his police car with a gun in his hand, Adam spoke his raw, honest words to Jesus...

If you’ve ever been where Adam or I have been, it’s time to finally face those questions. It’s time to find healing and connect with the One who can break your addictions, heal your grief, and lead your transformation.

An Invite To Peace: Changing and Transforming Lives Through the Power of God - Life Change Series: Am I Loved? Do I Matter? A Firefighter Finds Healing When Suicide is the Only Option - Morgan Murchland
play

12/08/24 • 63 min

Am I loved? Who am I? Am I worthy? Do I even matter?

Morgan believed Jesus called her to be a Firefighter, but it turned out to be the hardest experience of her life. As the darkness, pain, and questions piled up—both on the job and from her own co-workers—she felt like ending it all was the only way out. She grieved what she thought the job would be. It hadn't turned out that way at all.

Is the spiritual and supernatural real? Does Jesus truly hear me in my pain and struggle?

God upheld His part of the promise she made in the psychiatric ward, and now she’s holding up hers.

If you’ve ever been where Morgan or I have been, it’s time to finally face those questions. It’s time to find healing and connect with the One who can break your addictions, heal your grief, and lead you to God through spirituality.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Did God care? Was Jesus truly leading it? Were you meant to be with that person? Have you just become roommates, living in the same house?

For Kerry-Ann, it came to a point where she had to say goodbye to the man who's addictions and grief had caused so much pain—only to see him taken too soon, but in God's perfect timing. His timeline is eternal.

Through it all, Jesus gave her and her family a gift she had almost given up on.

If you’ve ever been where Kerry-Ann or I have been, it’s time to finally face those questions. It’s time to find healing and connect with the One who can break your addictions, heal your grief, and lead your transformation.

11/11/24 • 71 min

Have you ever wondered if life is worth living? Are you searching for a reason to be here? Does any of this matter? Can Jesus, the spiritual life, truly heal me?

For Scott, life as a firefighter and First Responder came with unique challenges—using meth to stay awake, nightmares, addictions, grief, and visions of death. The rage and anger he couldn’t control scared his loved ones, leaving him isolated and consumed by fear, depression, and darkness.

Suicidal thoughts followed, and even an attempt.

Why stay? Who cares? Will Jesus show up?

If you’ve ever been where Scott and I have been, it’s time to finally face those questions. It’s time to find healing and connect with the One who can break your addictions, heal your grief, and lead your transformation.

An Invite To Peace: Changing and Transforming Lives Through the Power of God - Life Change Series: Can God Really Heal it All? A Police Officer Finds Answers in Parenting, Grief, Divorce, and Cancer - Jake Ritonya
play

02/02/25 • 99 min

Have you been there? The struggle feels never-ending, and the hits just keep coming. Spiritual life seems so far away.

You're addicted to control, because things will only spiral worse if you let it go. You have to fix it all yourself, even if you're a Christian.

Jake thought he could fix everything—his marriage, his parenting issues, his health. He believed he had the power to make it all work. But even as Jesus was trying to lead him elsewhere, Jake wouldn’t let go. He was addicted.

Control was his thing. As a police officer, husband, and father, he believed everything would go as planned because he was in charge. But everything fell apart—his marriage couldn’t be fixed, his body showed signs that something was wrong, and his mistakes with his children became undeniable.

In the end, Jake had no choice but to admit his failures and turn to God for help.

If you’ve ever been where Jake or I have been, it’s time to finally face those questions.
