An Invite To Peace: Changing and Transforming Lives Through the Power of God

Have you been there? The struggle feels never-ending, and the hits just keep coming. Spiritual life seems so far away.

You're addicted to control, because things will only spiral worse if you let it go. You have to fix it all yourself, even if you're a Christian.

Jake thought he could fix everything—his marriage, his parenting issues, his health. He believed he had the power to make it all work. But even as Jesus was trying to lead him elsewhere, Jake wouldn’t let go. He was addicted.

Control was his thing. As a police officer, husband, and father, he believed everything would go as planned because he was in charge. But everything fell apart—his marriage couldn’t be fixed, his body showed signs that something was wrong, and his mistakes with his children became undeniable.

In the end, Jake had no choice but to admit his failures and turn to God for help.

If you’ve ever been where Jake or I have been, it’s time to finally face those questions. It’s time to find healing and connect with the One who can break your addictions, heal your grief, and lead your transformation.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Life Change Series: Where to Turn in Pain? God Transforms a Firefighter in the Midst of Grief and Emptiness - Jason Sautel

Have you ever felt empty, like you had nothing left? Can spirituality make a difference?

Jason was searching for something, but he didn’t know what it was. He thought he could escape his past, but he was addicted to who he used to be. As a firefighter with a good job, he seemed to have everything—except something was missing. He felt so empty.

In his grief, he visited a Christian church, hoping to find what he was missing. But instead, he was turned away at the door. He was told he didn’t belong because of how he was dressed. That rejection felt like the end—of his search, his hope, and even his life.

If you’ve ever been where Jason or I have been, it’s time to finally face those questions. It’s time to find healing and connect with the One who can break your addictions, heal your grief, and lead your transformation.

Life Change Series: Should Life and Faith be This Hard? Pastors, Police, Soldiers, and Everyone Else's Honest Struggles - Jared Altic

Why are you here? What's your purpose? Is Spiritual life just a waste of time?

Have you ever wondered what really happens behind the scenes of Christian life, a pastor's life, or church culture?

We often see the “perfect” pastor on Sundays, but what about the struggles of addiction, mental health, and grief they face?

What is moral injury and why does it affect us the way it does?

In this episode, I sit down with Pastor and Chaplain Jared Altic for an open, honest conversation about Jesus, theology, church culture, Christian life, and the point of it all.

It’s time to finally face the questions. It’s time to take off the mask, be honest, and connect with the One who can break your addictions, heal your grief, and lead your transformation.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
