Under the Influence is a deep dive into social media, a place haunted by aspirational marketing where it feels like every other person is a social media influencer trying to sell you something, all while posed in perfect houses that never seem to get messy. And behind this airbrushed perfection is money, so much money. Billions and billions of dollars. Journalist and mom Jo Piazza looks at how we got here, what it all means and how the commodification of every single aspect of our lives is driving everyone (but mostly women and mothers) a little insane.

Are you an Animal Lover? Then The Story of My Pet Podcast is for you!

Come along as Pet Parents from around the world tell the stories of their believed pets, from rescue dogs to foster kittens, street cats to wild horses, and everywhere in between. This show shares heart-to-heart conversations about animals collected from amazing pet parents, animal supporters and rescue advocates. Learn about animal adoption, fostering, rescue, and volunteerism. Along with powerful discussions about animal welfare topics, you will learn how to get involved in your local community and help animals in need.

The bond between humans and animals is immeasurable. That bond makes pet parents like you the best animal advocates. Whether you rescued your precious pet or found them a local animal shelter, the journey to your fur babies is often unexpected, but you always find the pets you are meant to have. Who rescued who, right? Whether you have human kids or not, pets are your chosen kids. You love them as members of your family and will do anything for them.

This show advocates and educates to ensure more people know about the importance of animal rescue, fostering, and adoption. Each episode features an animal rescue group, shelter, and/or nonprofit organization focused on saving animals in need. Get ready to be inspired by incredible animal rescuers, shelter workers, trappers, trainers, and volunteers. You may be surprised to learn about the reality of animal welfare and rescue in the world today. Turn that shock and disappointment in action! Whether it be volunteering at an animal shelter, becoming a pet foster parent, or adopting your next pet, the animal advocates on this show all share the same passion; To save as many animals as they can!

Sometimes the most difficult part of the story of our pets is the end. This podcast also shares difficult discussions about pet loss. While your bond lasts well beyond the physical lifespan of your pets, sharing stories about your pet’s passing can help with processing your grief and loss. Heartfelt discussions about assisting fur babies through illness and injury is never easy; but sharing stories can help other pet parents make informed decisions and improve the lives of other pets. Connecting with other each other through this show builds community and collaboration and will help you to be the best pet parent possible.

Your host, Julie Marty-Pearson, PsyD is a dedicated Fur Mom, lifelong animal lover, pet enthusiast, and all around animal advocate. She volunteers at her local county animal shelter, has been a kitten foster mom, and occasional pet sitter. Julie started this podcast to share the stories of her own pets, past and present, and advocate for animal rescue, fostering and adoption. Contact Julie via email if you are interested in being a guest on the podcast.

Julie is a Podcast Coach who is passionate about helping others share their stories through podcasting. She has her doctorate in Organizational Psychology and she supports others with starting their own podcasts just like she did with The Story of My Pet Podcast. Julie started her second podcast, Podcast Your Story Now, to share her experience as a podcaster, give tips and tricks for new and aspiring podcasters, and interview other female podcasters about their journeys.

My mission is to bring you the top working parent experts in multi-dimensional wellness, holistic, integrative and alternative health, career and entrepreneurship, mindful parenting, mindfulness, relationships, personal finance, spirituality and more. I’m Stephanie Uchima-Carney, a serial entrepreneur, MBA & business strategist, certified Integrative Nutrition health coach, and “xennial” mom of 3 little ones. When you're a parent, every day brings a "fresh hell" to deal with. In other words, there's always something. Think of us as your funny mom friends who are here to remind you: you're not alone, and it won't always be this hard. We're Amy and Margaret, both busy moms of three kids, but with completely different parenting styles. Margaret is a laid-back to the max; Amy never met a spreadsheet or an organizational system she didn't like. In each episode of "What Fresh Hell" we offer lots of laughs, but also practical advice, parenting strategies, and tips to empower you in your role as a mom. We explore self-help techniques, as well as ways to prioritize your own needs, combat stress, and despite the invisible workload we all deal with, find joy amidst the chaos of motherhood. If you've ever wondered "why is my kid..." then one of us has probably been there, and we're here to tell you what we've learned along the way. We unpack the behaviors and developmental stages of toddlers, tweens, and teenagers, providing insights into their actions and equipping you with effective parenting strategies. We offer our best parenting tips and skills we've learned. We debate the techniques and studies that are everywhere for parents these days, and get to the bottom of what works best to raise happy, healthy, fairly well-behaved kids, while fostering a positive parent-child relationship. If you're the default parent in your household, whether you're a busy mom juggling multiple pickups and dropoffs, or a first-time parent seeking guidance, this podcast is your trusted resource. We’re three moms who found one another in a local nursing mom’s group, not expecting anything, other than a breath of fresh air from leaving the house with our newborns. We forged a friendship in one other - through nerves, laughter, milestones, beer (“it’s for our supply!”) and heart-to-hearts, we have found our footing in this beautifully unpredictable season of our lives. What began as a support group for our babies grew into a sisterhood, where we talk about anything, and everything. There is no such thing as TMI with this group. As our babies have grown, our conversations also have grown; we cover it all. From nursing to pelvic floor to mental health and everything in between, we’ll spill the beans. Tune in to hear about our triumphs, tears, and a whole lotta truth. We’re the Boob Broads.

Childhood is finite at just shy of 9.5 million minutes. We only get one shot at it. One of the biggest decisions we make is how we will use that time. Research has confirmed time and time again that what children are naturally and unabashedly drawn to, unrestricted outside play, contributes extensively to every area of childhood development. The importance here cannot be understated. Every year we aim to match nature time with the average amount of American kid screen time (which is currently 1200 hours per year). Have a goal. Track your time outside. Take back childhood. Inspire others.

Mommying While Muslim is a one of a kind podcast where two American born and bred Muslim moms share their experiences to raise second generation kids. Having experienced both pre and post 9/11 America, they're acutely aware of the unique challenges their families face on top of the regular messes that all moms share. Mommying While Muslim is a space to take back their stories, and tell those no one will air on the news or portray fully or fairly in the media. Zaiba Hasan and Uzma Jafri are moms first, careerwomen second, and global citizens at heart. They meet taboo topics head on because they weren't allowed to do it growing up, not at home or at school and work. They aim to better their immediate households, communities, and their momsisterhood the world over by telling the truths sometimes people don't want to face or to hear. Not everyone has the privileges they have and they are eager to learn, more than they are to share their own experiences. Always looking to give back, they find women and families who need a mic because no one needs a voice; they just need an opportunity to speak. Besides tough social issues, they also tackle political ones because when laws affect their kids, they're coming for them as well as the ones who make them! There's no lane that doesn't get taken here. Along the way, they recruit momallies for Muslim Americans who have been inordinately targeted for the last 20 years. True moms know that ALL our children deserve to be safe, loved, and happy, and we bust every yellow brick on the Islamaphobic road to make sure they all are. If you like good trouble, this one's for you!
