Veggies are good for us so many reasons:
1. Big volume, low calories
2. Fiber to keep us feeling full longer, scrub our guts
3. Micronutrients, all those vitamins and minerals our bodies need to function optimally
4. Antioxidants, helping our bodies reverse the ill-effects of oxidation, which lead to inflammation, disease, etc
5. Water! Literally eating our hydration.
You might think you hate veggies, but really you only dislike the way you've had them prepared (canned veggies, I'm looking at you, gag!). Learn new ways to prepare them like grilling, roasting, or even hiding them that you enjoy.
So much goodness packed into their episode, just like the goodness packed into veggies! Enjoy!

Quotable Moment:
"You've gotta put legs on that prayer; Noah had to build the boat FIRST."
"People who are growing are a positive influence on those around them. Whether you influence 1 or a million."
Try this:

  • Take a look at your social media feed.
  • What is the theme? Who is in your feed? What are you "known for"?
  • Are you using your influence for good or to divide?
  • Is your feed mostly positive, encouraging, empowering OR is it negative, divisive, etc?
  • Do you show up on social authentically and in alignment with who you really are?
  • If someone from social met you in person, would they meet the same person?
  • How are you connecting and interacting with others online who are better than you?
  • How can you be that "better" person for someone else wanting to grow?

Key Points:

  1. You are the average of your 5 friends
  2. Don't be the best at the table
  3. You are what you consume
  4. Garbage in, garbage out
  5. Subconscious Osmosis- the sponge theory
  6. Set boundaries
  7. Embrace "no"
  8. Lean into the scary "yes"

The Chelsey Holm Podcast - NEW Content! MINDSET > Mastering the Reframe
play

Just like your life moves in the direction of your strongest thoughts, so does your biz.

We all have thoughts- negative and positive- entering our brain all the time. It’s what we choose to do with them that matters.

Our brains are wired to hold onto negative thoughts and memories at least 3x more than positive experiences.

Confirmation bias > subconsciously looking for evidence to support a given belief or thought

Ex. Look for blue cars or everything purple in the room.

What you focus on is key. Will you entertain or extinguish those limiting/negative thoughts?

Have you ever wondered why it seems like some people just always have everything go right & others everything is always going wrong?

Nothing ever always goes right or wrong. It’s what each person has chosen to focus on (perspective) and what they do with what’s happening.

So I’m going to teach you the power of the reframe- life isn’t happening to you or for you, it’s just happening. It’s up to you with what you think about it.

  1. Awareness
  2. Identify truth
  3. Reframe with truth
  4. Practice

Example-

>No one is saying yes to me.

People are saying yes.

People want to say yes to me when I listen and offer a recommendation that’s clear and actionable.

>I don’t have enough time.

Everyone has 24 hours in a day.

I have all the time I need to do the things that are most important to me.

>No one wants what I’m selling.

People do want what I’m offering.

People just like I was are desperately looking for this and I’m the best person to help them.

> I don’t know anyone.

There are 7+ billion people in this world.

I know lots of people and meet new people every day as I practice awareness.

It’s taking a thought that doesn’t serve. Reframing from a new perspective rooted in truth and then putting it into practice.

A few things to note- environment, what you consume, who surrounds you can make this process harder or easier for you. Choose wisely.
