Stepping Up for the Working Mom

In this episode I'm sharing with you what I'm doing and not doing quarantine. I can easily focus on all the things going wrong (which btw I have done), but I'm working to continue focusing on the positive things I'm doing during quarantine.
I provide you with a great exercise you can do to shift your focus from what's wrong to what's right. When you do this you will notice a change in your attitude and how you're feeling about how you're handling quarantine.
This isn't about doing anything different, but instead looking at what is actually going on.

Keep Your Ego In Check

This isn't about being overly confident, it's about letting your ego keep you small and safe.
Our ego is designed to keep us in our comfort zone where it is safe and...well....comfortable. When we start to stretch and grow it becomes uncomfortable. So our ego will attempt to step in and attempt to keep us from growing.
Just the other day I found my ego trying to keep me small. I'm working to grow and step up, so my ego tried to pull me back down. Rather than growing I was tempted to sit on the couch and veg.
While those days are good every now and then, there is a difference between resting and not growing. Rest is necessary, but it can be misleading sometimes. It can look as though we need rest, but what we really need is to get up and move. Give ourselves the momentum and energy to keep going.
