Untriggered Parenting

Send us a text

In honour of Neurodiversity Celebration week, this week's episode follows the parenting journey of Parenting Coach, Layal Aoudi and her son who is diagnosed with ADHD.
About Layal
My journey began with a minor in child psychology due to my passion with children, which laid the foundation of understanding the child’s brain and then resulted in obtaining my master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis.
I realized I also wanted to collaborate with parents. Supporting parents was important for me to ensure they have the knowledge and tools to provide their children with the comprehensive care they need when they don’t have professional support available. I started following parent coaches until I came across an institute that certified people with exactly what I was looking for and more. As I was studying and learning this different approach, I realized it was changing my personal parenting style with my own children to a healthier and closer parent-child relationship, and that is when I realized I wanted to share the skills and knowledge with the world. I became a certified parent coach to foster a supportive environment for both the child and parent through “care to repair parenting”.

This week's special guest is Anthony Damaschino, the author of the book “The Empty Nest Blueprint.” We delve into the much less talked about stage of parenting - the empty nest stage!
About Anthony
Anthony Damaschino is the author of “The Empty Nest Blueprint.” An obsession with what he calls, “The most underrated phase in a parent’s life” led him to create a blueprint for all future and current Empty Nesters to follow. He combines current research, practical advice, and personal experience to help others not just survive, but thrive in their Empty Nest journey.
He and his wife, who are California Bay Area natives, have successfully launched their three children into the world, two of whom are still in college. Anthony has a BS in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MS in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco. Anthony considers himself a recovering HR Executive.
When he’s not at his local library writing about parenting, relationships, or personal development, he can be found out in nature, impersonating an accomplished hiker.
