Separation Vs. Connection
Mom On Purpose With Natalie Bacon
07/31/19 • 19 min
Have you ever found yourself separating from other people?
Sometimes it sounds like this...
- She's so negative.
- She isn't into personal development.
- I can't stand how much she complains.
- We don't have anything in common.
While all these statements may be true, they may not be useful. In fact, they may be causing unnecessary separation.
I've been guilty of this, too.
But what if we found ways to connect instead of ways to separate?
You can redirect your brain to look for connection instead of separation.
It won't do this naturally. You have to direct your brain. You have to show it how.
I've done this in my life and the result is magical.
Listen to this episode to learn how to increase connection and have better relationships as soon as today.

Multiple Whys
Mom On Purpose With Natalie Bacon
01/08/20 • 28 min
Most people come to me and they want to know how to do something. They think the how is the secret to getting what they want.
But that's not it at all, my friend. Not even close.
The how changes all the time. Technology shifts, things change. Some things that work for one person don't work for another person.
It's not about the how.
It's about the WHY.
When you have a strong and compelling why, you're committed to getting the result you want no matter what. You have grit, focus, commitment, and most importantly... you're willing to do hard things, including failure and experiencing a ton of negative emotion.
In this episode, I explain what a compelling why is and how to make sure you have one so you can achieve your impossible goal this year.

Finding Pleasure
Mom On Purpose With Natalie Bacon
10/07/20 • 25 min
So often we end up beating ourselves up all day, so at the end of the day, we're pleasure-deprived.
It sounds like, "I had such a hard day so I'm having some wine." While this seems so innocent, it ends up reinforcing escaping our lives through false pleasures that have a net negative consequence.
Instead, I invite you to try something different: finding natural pleasures throughout your day. In this episode, you'll learn what "natural pleasures" are and how to find pleasure every day, so you enjoy your everyday life.

Tracking Your Goal Progress
Mom On Purpose With Natalie Bacon
01/22/20 • 38 min
A HUGE mistake people make is being "confused" about how to achieve their goals.
This is just what your brain does. It freaks out when you want to do something new.
The best way to solve this confusion is to set up a system where you track your results.
It sounds kind of boring at first, but it's the glue that holds each step together on your way to success.
When you track your goal progress, you're clear about what's working and what's not. When you don't, you waste so.much.time.
In this episode, I show you exactly how to track your progress so you can achieve your most impossible goals.

Deliberate Discomfort
Mom On Purpose With Natalie Bacon
06/12/19 • 27 min
When it comes to doing things for ourselves, we rarely push through when we’re met with discomfort. We make the discomfort mean stop, slow down, or quit, instead of using discipline and deliberate discomfort to get us to our goals.
When you go after a goal, like designing your dream life, it means you’re creating something new and different. Naturally, you’re going to be scared, there will be failure and rejection and discomfort.
It’s important to not make slowing down or having obstacles mean something and just let it be the discomfort that is inevitably going to happen when there is growth involved. Assign meaning to whatever you want, but do it to your advantage instead of your disadvantage.
This means you stop making obstacles, failures, and discomfort of pursuing your goals mean you’re out of alignment and something has gone wrong.
If you get really good at experiencing negative emotion, without being afraid of it, you won’t avoid, resist, or react to it.
You’ll learn to plan for deliberate discomfort and welcome growth with open arms.

When You Don't Know How
Mom On Purpose With Natalie Bacon
03/20/19 • 19 min
Do you ever think about what you want most in life... if you believed anything was possible?
When I ask people what they really want, they tell me. But it's followed by, "I don't know how to [fill-in-the-blank]."
I tell them I have good news.
I say, "How is none of your business."
I teach them how to believe without knowing how to do the thing they want to do.
Believe. Then take one action.
One step—the next step—is enough.
Want to lose weight? Have better relationships? Make more money? Have a more fulfilling career? You can.
You don't have to know how to do it today.
In this episode, I'll show you exactly how to do this in your life for whatever it is you want most.
