32 - How to Follow an Ayahuasca Dieta & Why You Should Before Ceremony
The Nutrition Translator Podcast
02/03/20 • 32 min
Part One: Are you an empath with clairsentient powers? Can you sense other people's emotions, energy shifts in the room and can you tap into the spirit realm? Have you lost connection with your intuition over time? In this part of the podcast learn how to tap back in to your abilities by setting boundaries, following your truth, and stepping into the unknown. I also discuss more about my upcoming ayahuasca retreat to Guatemala at the end of Feb.
Part Two: Setting Sail, A poem about following your intuition and setting sail on unfamiliar waters.
Part Three: One of the most important aspects of working with ayahuasca is adhering to an honored tradition of following a special diet in order to prepare not just the body, but also the mind and soul to incorporate the healing energy of ayahuasca. This diet also shows the spirit of ayahuasca your intention, and is a test of discipline and commitment. The diet is important not only for spiritual reasons, but also practical and scientific.
Retreat centers have varied dieting guidelines, ranging from a few dietary and behavioral instructions to more than a hundred different foods and substances to avoid, and rigorous lists of thoughts and acts to abstain from. This part of the podcast I will explain the do's and don't, and how to follow an ayahuasca dieta to prepare for your ceremony.

9 - A Complete Guide to Protein & Muscle Health
The Nutrition Translator Podcast
08/26/19 • 33 min
Your body is a protein making machine, and needs the right nutrition to support the making of these proteins. The expression of protein is the expression of life. In order for our cells make proteins a gene has to be regulated. If we are living in survival mode/fear (perceived or real), then certain proteins will be made, if we are living in safety (perceived or real it is the same) then other proteins will be made based off that gene expression.
Born genes do not create disease. Only small percentage, 1-5% of us are born with a true genetic condition. The other 95-99% of disease is created by lifestyle and behaviors and reactions to the environment.
Genes are a library of possibilities. You can down -regulate genes for disease, and up-regulate genes for health
Learn how to give your body the proper nutrition it needs to support protein synthesis for muscle health, and learn how to train your body & nervous system to up-regulate genes to produce proteins that support health and wellbeing.
