Episode 191 - Reclaiming Yourself with Whitney Baker
In this episode, we explore the profound journey of women transitioning into motherhood and the challenges it brings to their sense of self, especially within their careers. We discuss the complex process of navigating identity shifts, the struggle to maintain professional aspirations, and the often unspoken sacrifices made.
Our guest shares her personal experience of losing and then rediscovering herself amidst the demands of motherhood and work. Through her story, we explore actionable steps and insights for women facing similar challenges, emphasizing the significance of self-care, setting boundaries, and seeking support.WHITNEY BAKER
Whitney Baker is the founder of Electric Ideas, a mission-based company dedicated to lighting women up with a new sense of possibility. Whitney is a certified meditation teacher, women’s group facilitator, retreat partner and writer. She also hosts the weekly Electric Ideas podcast, which is ranked globally among the top 3% listened to podcasts.
You may know Whitney as an upbeat, free-spirited force through her podcast or if you hang out with her on Instagram. But you may not know that in a former life, she was a journalist turned global marketing agency creative, who up-ended it all to stay at home with her kids. During that transition, she felt isolated and anxious that she was going to lose footing in the professional world and squander her hard-earned master’s degree. She struggled deeply to navigate this murky identity shift that no one seemed to be talking about.
Whitney knows what it’s like to leave behind one version of yourself for another and feel caught in between identities, wondering if you will ever really feel like yourself again. That’s why she’s so passionate about helping women ditch the rules of how they think they’re supposed to live and rewrite the rule book for the life they really want.RESOURCES

Episode 194 - Healing through Art Medicine with Steffi Pieters
In this episode, we delve into the transformative power of Art Medicine as a catalyst for healing and self-discovery. Our guest, a passionate advocate for utilizing creativity as a tool for personal growth and wellbeing, shares her insights and experiences in harnessing the therapeutic potential of artistic expression.
Today, we uncover the profound ways in which creativity can facilitate healing and transformation. We explore the therapeutic benefits of engaging with art as a means of tapping into the deeper layers of the self, fostering resilience, and cultivating a sense of connection and belonging.STEFFI PIETERS
Steffi Pieters is an intuitive artist and holistic psychologist who was born in Belgium. As for feeling connected with others and the world, she struggled quite a bit. Even though she didn’t really show it openly, she dealt with a lot of health challenges.
Before the age of 18, she decided to embark on a healing journey. As part of her study in clinical psychology, she did her internship in Bolivia. It was her first time overseas.
In 2013, she decided to go on a solo journey to Latin America and Africa. Her healing journey deepened and her heart and soul slowly but surely started to take center stage again. It wasn’t until later, when she went through a challenging period that guided her to turn even more towards her inner self, that she started to paint from her intuition.
In her professional life, Steffi combines psychology with alternative therapy modalities, using art therapy, EFT tapping, compassionate listening, energy work and constellations. She also makes intuitive art that arises ‘in flow’ and soul paintings.
Steffi emigrated to Peru in April 2021, following her heart and soul’s calling to live a life that feels more aligned with her essence. She now lives a more simple and slower life, close to nature, with a stronger sense of community and belonging.RESOURCES
