Birth, epidurals and Mum shame
02/06/24 • 18 min
In this episode, I share my experience of birth and explore why we are not allowed to talk more honestly about the realities of birth.
Over 45% of women report having a traumatic birth and a huge part of that is that we are led to believe that because birth is natural it's going to be easy.
If you are struggling with birth trauma or feeling any shame following your birth please join my supportive community. I know my experience of Motherhood was made so much easier by being surrounded by Mums I could be myself with but it took a while to find my tribe. link

Learning to be a Good Enough Mum- Accepting we cant control everything.
6 years and 2 kids and I dont know how many clients down one thing I can safely say I see again and again that sucks away our joy is trying to control and micromanage everything our children do.
It makes sense when you become a Mum you feel completely out of control so the obvious thing to try and control is our kids. Their sleep, diet, schedules and behaviour can become the benchmark of whether we are succeeding or failing in life.
This episode is about letting go and accepting children like adults are all different and how we can enjoy Motherhood so much more when we let go.

Navigating the the highs and lows of Maternity leave.
This week, I explore how to truly enjoy maternity leave. It can be a very lonely time, but if you find your tribe, it really can feel like a holiday.
It's also a reminder that this isn't the time to become an expert at housework. Maternity leave is your time to bond with your baby and recover from the enormous task of growing a child.
