Podcast #165: Multitasking is NOT a Super Power!
05/27/19 • 10 min
HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION!
Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses! Thank you for listening, sharing the podcast and providing your input / answers to the daily challenges and questions!
In last week's podcast I dug deeper into the purpose of creating lists and not just the joy of keeping track of all that you've accomplished! It's to get all the noise OUT of your head so you can reduce your stress and increase productivity! Especially so you can be fully present and pay attention to the person you are meeting with, talking with on the phone or even responding to an email. Are you giving whatever it is you are doing your FULL attention?
It can have a negative affect on your bottom line, your relationships and friendships - personally and professionally. If you're constantly mentally distracted, you need to figure out WHY. More than likely it's because you aren't creating lists and prioritizing. If you're overwhelmed, you are trying to do it all. If you're multitasking, how well are you doing each task?
MULTITASKING IS NOT A SUPER POWER!
In this week's podcast you get to hear me on my SOAP BOX about the negative impact multitasking has on your life, business, career. And in the last few week's podcasts I've talked about how creating lists and being mindful will help you STOP multitasking and start being more productive and successful.
We've all done it. And I've had people BRAG about how GREAT they are AT multitasking. I just shake my head and ask how confident they are that they gave each email, text message, meeting, phone call, report or proposal their FULL attention and there was nothing MORE they could have done, said, created, thought of, asked?
Let me say it this way: If you want to achieve MORE... STOP MULTITASKING!
We all have more than ONE thing to do each day, MORE THAN ONE client. It all has to get done, but how without multitasking? Listen in this week, and then post in the comments section or email me what you think about multitasking.
Are YOU a multi-tasker? Tell me why you think it works for you! Or, perhaps how you know it's been detrimental to your productivity, but you aren't sure how to prioritize when it ALL has to get done? Let's talk!
Have a great, PRODUCTIVE week!
Cheers! Sandi

Podcast #164: Mind Your Mind!
HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION!
Welcome back and thank you again for listening, giving your input and sharing the podcasts.
I'm on my way to the Big Apple right now (New York City just in case!) to facilitate a team building event! I'm excited as this International law firm wants me to make sure I touch on empowerment, being involved in the community and creating a sense of community within the company - being open, respectful and mindful of others opinion! And that ties into this week's podcast!
Last week's podcast was determining WHAT'S NEXT in regards to your "list". Getting the shit storm OUT of your head so you can see it differently and can understand how to take the next steps.
Last week I met with a client who is refining her goal sheet so she can determine "what's next"! She made progress on her goals by clearing her mind, by being mindful of how she communicates and by allowing others to share their opinion. It was truly amazing to see that happen in such a short time. And now I will be helping her DIG DEEPER so she can TAKE BIGGER steps!
I also met with a new client. We did the white board "brain dump" session and he said what everyone says, "WOW! This is so helpful to see my schedule like this! I LOVE IT!" And now that it is OUT of his head, we created some action steps for him to take.
It was a big week for my clients and me! I kept my lists going and got everything out of my head, so I was able to be FULLY PRESENT for my clients and meetings. I "minded my mind"!
Listen in this week as I talk more about the importance of keeping your mind clear. What I've been teaching you to do the last few weeks, now you'll understand the WHY!
Then, think about YOU. Have you practiced what I have been preaching? Or even what you shared that you do to keep your mind clear of clutter? I look forward to hearing from you about a time when you hadn't cleared your mind and how it worked out for you.
Have a great week and CLEAR YOUR MIND (and the rest will follow... who knows that song?!)
Cheers!

Podcast #166: Right Here. Right Now!
Happy Monday Motivation!
Thank you for listening, sharing the podcast and connecting with me on social media to help continue to grow personally and professionally!
Last week's podcast was about the negative effects MULTITASKING has on you, your relationships and your business or career! What did you determine? Are you, or WERE YOU a multitasker (until now!)? Did you recognize how it was affecting you?
So, how did you modify your behavior so that you were able to get all the noise out of your head so you're able to focus 100% on your task, project, meeting or client?
I know, I know, there's NEVER a good time to modify your behavior, let alone anything! It's kind of like a diet, isn't it? I'll start "after this project", or "this vacation". "I'll try that out once I have more time!" Hahaha, how do you ever expect to find more time to achieve better results if you don't change things NOW?!?!
You'll have to listen in to this week's podcast to hear me talk more about what's behind that resistance to change. What's behind that "It's not a good time...." bullshit excuse!
And how by how living in the NOW... you've WON!
Because if you want to achieve MORE, if you want to BE MORE, then when IS a GOOD TIME? Hmmm!
If you're struggling with stopping wanting to change the past or worrying about the future, email me and let's set up a time to talk!
Have a great week! Cheers! Sandi
