Happy Monday Motivation!
Welcome back, thanks for being here, for sharing and if any of you know where in the HELL January went, please let me know! WOW that went fast! (I guess I was having fun, eh?!)
This month is all about ACTION! But what month isn't?! Baby steps. BIG LEAPS. Whatever you can do is still movement... progress! In the past 11 days of February, what have you done? Not done? What did you want to do or perhaps didn't think you could do, so didn't?
Why do I keep asking you about taking ACTION? Well, without action there is no progress and you'll have no growth. We all know it takes action to create a REaction! Good or bad, it will happen. And, if you're full of doubt and fear, most people won't take action. (Pssst guess what... lack-of still allows for something to happen!) But I guess if you don't take action, you have something to blame, eh?
Listen in, and think about what's something you thought you'd have done by now? (insert groan) What happened? Well, that's why I'm always on your ass to check progress, so you can determine what's going on, what's DISTRACTING you. Because... what you ALLOW is what will continue. It's time to yet again check to see what's going on. We're 6-weeks into the year, let's check ourselves and make sure we're on track! If you are... AWESOME, keep on keeping on! And, how will you STAY FOCUSED? If not, determine what's distracting you and... MAKE IT STOP!
This week, look at your goal sheet, put a GIANT checkmark next to if it you've achieved it... and give yourself a SELF HIGH-FIVE, and if not, make a note next to it as to what's distracting you and WHY!

In last week's podcast I dug deeper into the purpose of creating lists and not just the joy of keeping track of all that you've accomplished! It's to get all the noise OUT of your head so you can reduce your stress and increase productivity! Especially so you can be fully present and pay attention to the person you are meeting with, talking with on the phone or even responding to an email. Are you giving whatever it is you are doing your FULL attention?
It can have a negative affect on your bottom line, your relationships and friendships - personally and professionally. If you're constantly mentally distracted, you need to figure out WHY. More than likely it's because you aren't creating lists and prioritizing. If you're overwhelmed, you are trying to do it all. If you're multitasking, how well are you doing each task?
MULTITASKING IS NOT A SUPER POWER!
In this week's podcast you get to hear me on my SOAP BOX about the negative impact multitasking has on your life, business, career. And in the last few week's podcasts I've talked about how creating lists and being mindful will help you STOP multitasking and start being more productive and successful.
We've all done it. And I've had people BRAG about how GREAT they are AT multitasking. I just shake my head and ask how confident they are that they gave each email, text message, meeting, phone call, report or proposal their FULL attention and there was nothing MORE they could have done, said, created, thought of, asked?
Let me say it this way: If you want to achieve MORE... STOP MULTITASKING!
We all have more than ONE thing to do each day, MORE THAN ONE client. It all has to get done, but how without multitasking? Listen in this week, and then post in the comments section or email me what you think about multitasking.

Last week did you DRAW THE LINE?! Did you leave your past, decisions you're unsure of, perhaps a bad habit where it belongs? Good now it's time to MOVE ON! It's late April and I'm saying it again... it's time to DO! Ok? Let's get going and try new things! OK?
And with it being Spring here in Indy the weather has been insane and it's driving everyone bat-shit-crazy! But can we blame the weather on our crappy moods, getting off-track, hesitation on doing? Yes, but NOOOOO!
You've got to OWN IT! Your mistakes that is! By trying new things, taking action, you will screw up and that is completely OK! It shows that you're trying, DOING, moving, attempting and how the Hell else can you learn if you don't try?!
You've got to STOP BLAMING the weather, other people, bad decisions because all that is, is you MAKING EXCUSES! Think about at time when you blamed someone or something. Have you ever come clean? Listen in this week about my BIG BLAME and how I did!

Last Monday’s podcast was about communication! Making sure you really listen, slow down and think before you speak! Taking the time to really work on communication no matter what format – verbal or written – is very important.
When you listen in today, you'll find out how, due to how her staff was communicating, caused her to not be able to FOCUS! Which is the topic for today: FOCUS!
She was distracted by her staff's communication and in-turn wasn't feeling productive.
Finding more time by eliminating distractions can definitely help you feel better and, like a client of mine said, she won’t “feel the pressure to work on the weekends!” She’ll be able to leave work at the office!
Distractions are everywhere. On our wrists, in our environment, traffic, friends, family, weather, CNN, Ok maybe not that one lol.

I’m intrigued… well, curious as I want to learn what helps you, but also maybe new ways to share with clients.

What do you see on “the other side”. In last week’s podcast, I asked you to share what you saw when you got to Happy Land!! In the podcast, I suggested you draw a picture (nothing elaborate) or even write down what you want. What you SEE and how you would FEEL once you get to “Happy Land”.
So – what IS your vision and how the hell do you get there?
About 3 years ago, I had a woman come to me and say “I want to make better choices”. At first it was really all about physical health. The usual – lose weight. Well, I’m not a “health coach”, but I understood she needed help with the “how” and the accountability. I agreed to take her on as a private coaching client. As we would meet and talk thru what she wanted, it wasn’t well “you can’t eat this or that, you have to work out, or you won’t succeed”. It was conversations full of her why. Her VISION. What did she see in her HAPPY LAND?
Stop eating McDonalds every morning for breakfast and starting to walk at lunch is the obvious part. Her vision included financial, emotional AND physical health. WOW – that was a lot more than she mentioned, but that is what happens when you’re COACHING someone. You don’t just focus on the obvious…because usually that’s a result of something bigger – deeper.
WE HAD TO DETERMINE WHAT WAS CAUSING HER TO MAKE UNHEALTHY DECISIONS.
THINK ABOUT: What it is YOU want. AND what you need help with (this can be the hard part – so who can help you determine that?)
So this week – I want you to think about who it is that YOU want to become. What do you want your legacy to be? If you died tomorrow... what would you hope that people are saying? What do I want you to do? Write your TOMBSTONE MESSAGE! HAHA…YES, THAT’S WHAT I SAID!
