In this episode, Chabidaye discuss:

  • Prioritizing the tasks with the highest impact
  • Categorizing your tasks through the 4D system
  • Manage your energy, not your time
  • Eliminating unrealistic expectations

Key Takeaways:

  • Focus on the one most impactful task each day. Identify the "needle mover" that will have the biggest domino effect on your other tasks. Don't get bogged down in trying to multitask - prioritize this one key task and tackle it first before moving on to other items.
  • Use the 4D system to categorize your tasks - do, delegate, delay, or delete. This helps you reduce decision fatigue and focus your energy on the essential tasks you need to personally complete. Don't be afraid to ask for help from others to delegate certain items.
  • Manage your energy levels, not just your time. Pay attention to when you have high energy versus low energy periods during the day. Schedule your most important, cognitively-demanding work for your high energy times to maximize productivity and avoid burnout.
  • Eliminate "shoulds" and unrealistic expectations. Let go of outdated beliefs or societal pressures that are weighing you down. Focus on aligning your tasks and goals with your true values and priorities. Celebrate small wins along the way rather than waiting for the big goal to be achieved.

"It's not about doing more, but it's about doing what matters with intention. So take action on the steps that I shared with you today, and watch how small, focused efforts are going to lead you to big wins."

Struggling with crippling anxiety his passion for learning and accelerated growth led not only to him shifting is energy but seeing opportunities he never saw possible. From transcending to transformation, Daniels 15 years in business, 4 years of struggling with burnout, Daniel's personal discovery to personal excellence, again coupled with the world’s biggest study of High Performance through the High Performance Intitule, beautifully formulated into 12 coaching sessions. What Daniel calls - The Adventure to Excellence, where guides you through your own adventure to excellence to High Performance, across life, business, leadership, and health. It's time for you to be the executive of your own life.

In this episode, Chabidaye and Daniel discuss:

  • Why you shouldn’t ignore the signs of burnout
  • The symptoms and signs of burnout
  • Honesty is the first step to recovery
  • Achieving freedom from burnout

Key Takeaways:

  • Don’t ignore the signs of burnout. Chronic stress and anxiety aren’t supposed to be normal. Consider if the health issues that you experience are caused by your current working conditions and if they are pointing towards the fact that you are burning out.
  • When you are burnt out you might feel trapped in the past, inadequate in the present, and worried constantly about the future. You might experience sleepless nights and tired mornings. By the time the weekend comes, you might be too exhausted to do anything fun or meaningful.
  • Daniel’s body gave him a very frightening warning that he was burning out. We don’t have to know the hard way, we can instead learn from his experience and examine yourself. Be honest about what you truly feel and what you’re really going through.
  • Examine your values and see if any of them aligns with your current job and current working conditions. Seek the help of people that you can trust, whether it be a coach, a therapist, or a close friend who can both empathize and inspire you to seek freedom from burnout.

"What I did right in the early stages was I connected back to my values, and who I was, what I needed in my life. And what I needed in my work, And what I needed in my work, and what I needed to support that." — Daniel Ewers

About Rob Fortier: As a copywriter, Rob Fortier’s goal is to help coaches, consultants and service providers use the written word to get their message out into the world so they can effectively market their products and services. He is dedicated to helping his clients increase their leads and sales, and believes that email is one of the most cost-effective marketing tools for solopreneurs and small business owners.

In this episode, Chabidaye and Rob discuss:

  • How to enhance your writing with AI tools
  • The limitations of ChatGPT and AI tools
  • Getting over mental blocks when writing email sequences
  • Done is better than perfect

Key Takeaways:

  • In order to use ChatGPT in the most effective and most responsible way, you’ve got to use it and let its responses spark ideas in your head then run with those and create your content the way that you do.
  • ChatGPT can’t replicate your personality and it doesn’t know your people. Therefore it is unable to tailor-fit your content to your audience in the way that you can. You are the expert when it comes to your people.
  • Change the way you look at writing an email sequence. See it not as this burdensome thing but as a conversation chopped up into multiple segments.
  • Done is better than perfect. The only way to get better at writing is to keep writing. Don’t let your ideas stay hidden in your head, write them down and spread them out even in their imperfect form. You will improve as you go. Meanwhile, if you never take a step, you’ll never get anywhere.

"You have to sound like you because that’s what people want. They want your personality." — Rob Fortier

  • Investing in your success
  • Surrounding yourself with community
  • Tracking your progress and habits
  • Managing your energy

Key Takeaways:

  • Invest in yourself and in your success. Get a coach, a planner, and a calendar. Plan your new year and schedule your breaks and vacations. Make sure to always take care of yourself.
  • Find a community or a group that you can be accountable with, people that will encourage you when you stumble and keep you motivated to work for your dreams and goals.
  • Measure everything. Track your business, your growth, and your habits. You have to have a system in place so that you know where you are in relation to your goals.
  • Managing your energy is a high performance habit. Know how you could raise your energy level so you could accomplish more at work and how you could also moderate it when you need to slow down. You must also figure out what recharges you so that you will not burn out.

"You just need to do your best. And then let go. Trust that the universe will do the rest and it works. You don't have control over everything. So do your part." — Chabidaye Jaglal Ramnath

In this episode, Chabidaye discussed:

  • The Squiggly Line
  • Setting a goal and following through
  • Sparking change through self-awareness
  • Making an inventory of people you surround yourself with

Key Takeaways:

  • The line between “now” and “december 23” won’t be a straight one. It’ll be a squiggly line, filled with ups and downs; successes and failures.
  • Set a goal. Have clarity on what it is you want to achieve and have the courage to take the first step. Build on that courage and practice being confident.
  • Every change starts with self-awareness. Look into your mindset, your attitude, your habits, and your energy. Be aware of which ones are serving you and which aren’t and be ready to transform the ones that hinder you from becoming your best self.
  • You become who you surround yourself with so make an inventory of who you hang out with. Surround yourself with high-performing people and those who are already at the next level that you want to be in.

Lead and Lift - Jerry Roisentul: Mastering Your Mindset
play

05/31/22 • 35 min

About Jerry Roisentul : Jerry is a mindset and leadership development coach, and is the founder of Champion Mentorship, Inc. He is also a Maxwell Certified Leadership Development Coach and Speaker. Through Jerry's personal coaching and live in person and virtual events, he helps people identify the mental roadblocks that keep them from achieving their greatest potential as a leader ( ie: doubt, fear, limiting beliefs). Then, through personal experience and humor, he shares tools and strategies that help people overcome those mental roadblocks and become a better, stronger and more confident leader.

In this episode, Chabidaye and Jerry discuss:

  • Focusing on what we have control over
  • ‌Overcoming fears and doubts
  • ‌Limiting beliefs and blindspots
  • ‌Using mindset to navigate your circumstance

Key Takeaways:

  • We don’t have any control over whether negative thoughts or feelings will come into our mind but we do have control over which thoughts to focus on, which thoughts to open ourselves up to.
  • ‌You’re never gonna escape fear or doubts, they’re always gonna be hanging around you, you can’t chase them away - but you can challenge those fears and doubts and bring yourself to overcome them.
  • ‌So much of our current issues and hangups stem from limiting beliefs that have been created in us since childhood. Going through coaching will help us overcome these limiting beliefs and reveal anything that hides in our blindspots.
  • ‌You don’t have to change your surroundings or your situation, you simply need to learn how you could use your mind to navigate your current circumstance, whatever it may be.

"We can’t control the thousands of thoughts that knock on the door of our mind every single day but we do have control over which of those thoughts do we open the door of our mind to and let in and focus on." — Jerry Roisentul

Lead and Lift - Kurt Porter - Communication Basics
play

05/10/22 • 37 min

About Kurt Porter: He is a subject matter expert in the Continuous Improvement Process and Team Resource Management Principles. He gained this knowledge and experience in the private sector, federal service, and the United States Navy. He is an outstanding communicator whose communication skills were honed by years of public speaking. This includes the delivery of keynote speeches on a wide variety of topics before both small groups and large audiences.

Kurt has facilitated hundreds of workshops on Leadership, Communication, and Teamwork. He is a former diplomatic interpreter and a Defense Language Institute Instructor of the Year. He has visited over 80 countries and lived 30 years overseas (Japan, Germany, the Philippines, and Russia). He speaks Vietnamese and Russian. Kurt is the Founder and Executive Director of PLC (Performance and Leadership Coaching).

In this episode, Chabidaye and Kurt discuss:

  • What is effective communication
  • Communication barriers due to culture
  • Minimizing distractions, emotions and biases
  • How to be a good communicator using VEGA

Key Takeaways:

  • Communication is the transmittal of a message and the receipt of that message. We have to avoid communication failure as best as we can, especially when a lot relies on its success.
  • A difference in culture can create communication barriers. One English word, for example, could have a vast difference depending on whether you’re in the US or the UK even though they’re basically the same language. It’s important to recognize this and understand that neither are wrong, just different.
  • Minimize distractions or completely eliminate them since they are a huge hindrance to effective communication. Put your phone on silent mode when in a meeting. Also, don’t let your emotions and biases change your message.
  • Remember the acronym VEGA if you want to be an effective communicator. First is voice, you have to project, be audible and speak with an appropriate tone. Maintain good eye contact, if there are multiple people - do a general sweep of the room, don’t focus on just one person. Use gestures for emphasis but only minimally, don’t overdo it. Lastly, you need to have a good attitude.

"There’s three things we have to do, the three C’s: be Clear, be Concise, and we have to Confirm understanding." — Kurt Porter

Promotion:

About Paula Tobey: Paula is a Certified Life and Health Transformation Coach, Author and Speaker. She helps people solve the problems of chronic health conditions that have not been fixed with a traditional doctor such as food sensitivity testing for those with auto-immune, diabetes, non-genetic cancers, etc. She understands that people living with these conditions are tired, frustrated, scared and overwhelmed, as she too has been there.

Paula recently published a book on Amazon called "Becoming a Phenomenal Mom, 5 Steps to a Healthier Life" that helps women of all ages and stages of life by providing encouragement and wisdom through her personal journey of what she learned about herself, her mental health and wellness through extensive research.
In this episode, Chabidaye and Paula discuss:

  • Why your health matters
  • Having the willingness to grow
  • From growth-zone to glory-zone
  • Three questions to ask when you feel stuck

Key Takeaways:

  • Taking care of your physical and emotional health is foundational to living a healthier life. Without health, your emotional and skill growth would be all for nothing.
  • Be willing to learn and grow, sharpen your tools through training and education. One of the areas which would always need sharpening is your financial knowledge. You have to know how to budget, save, and prepare for retirement.
  • Be clear about who you are and what your purpose is. Invest time, money, and effort into your own growth. Then, impart the gift you’ve gained to others. That’s when you go from growth-zone to glory-zone.
  • Step back and ask yourself, “what’s the next best thing I can do right now?” The next question you can ask yourself is, “what lesson can I learn from this right now?” Lastly, ask yourself, “what can I still be grateful for despite all that’s happening?”

"When you get into your zone of glory, where you are teaching and coaching and expelling the knowledge and the resources that you have gained to someone else. And that feeling of that amazing gift is something that just cannot be replicated." — Paula Tobey
