In this interview, we talk with Veronica Munro about her article, Get off to a Great Start...and Achieve Great Results!
The first steps we take at the beginning of our coaching are so very impactful, as we are engaging not just with the person in front of us, but with multiple hidden layers of the person inside; a person who wants to receive validation, hope and support.
A successful starting point for the coaching is to begin with the process of positive engagement with the coachee and their stakeholders that provides specific feedback and measures of success for the coaching engagement from the outset.
Veronica is an International Executive and Leadership Coach and Strategic Facilitator with over 25 years' experience coaching specifically CEOs, C-suite executives and their teams in over 30 countries within Africa, Asia, Middle East, Pakistan, Europe, and North America. Her strengths include her exceptional ability to work closely with leaders, leveraging their talents and facilitating sustainable behavioural change that supports them to achieve greater levels of business performance as well as personal success and alignment.
Veronica has a strong business background working as a senior leader herself within global organisations for a number of years. Her talents as a coach include being relationship-led, strengths based, strategic and having a pragmatic approach. She is well known for her ‘transformative’ approach.

Episode #27 ~ Value Yourself First - The impact of coaching on the coach with guest, Joseph O'Connor
In this interview, we talk with Joseph O'Connor about his article, Value Yourself First - The impact of coaching on the coach.
A coaching session is a co-creation between coach and client. Both learn something, both grow as a result. Coaching can be stressful so we need to be aware of the signals of stress from our own body and mind. Clients can trigger you. They may have issues that are close to a problem you have. Sometimes they have a need that causes you to feel the pressure to fulfill that need rather than be a coach. Coaches may be very empathic, and client's emotions can be infectious. Self-reflection is crucial for a coach, although you can use the issue to challenge the client.
Coaching is a wonderful profession. We get to talk with all sorts of people, in all walks of life and help them resolve difficult situations. It also provides many opportunities for learning and focusing on what you learn can have a positive impact on both the coach and the client.
Joseph O'Connor is an author, executive coach, trainer and consultant. He has given trainings in over thirty countries and specializes helping executives become more authentic leaders. Joseph is a global director and co-founder of the International Coaching Community (ICC). He founded the Neuroscience Coaching Centre in 2019 for coaches to have access to the best Neuroscience resources for coaching.
His vision is to contribute to an integrated model of coaching – physical, mental and spiritual - to help all to act with practical wisdom in an increasingly complex world.
Join us as we learn more about the positive and negative impacts of coaching on the coach with Joseph O'Connor.

Episode #29 ~ The Leadership Debate with guest, Marty Wightman
In this interview, we talk with Marty Wightman about his article, The Leadership Debate ~ How can coaching support the prediction of upcoming changes in leadership trends?
We have learned so much from the last two years and many people have shifted what is important to them in terms of life and work view. In the coming year, we will see many trends continue and emerge in our own worlds. Coaching support will be utilized and sought out more readily by those in leadership positions as core trends start to emerge or even stabilize.
Remote working vs. hybrid working vs. a full return to the office: the fight is on. It is our responsibility as leadership coaches to allow the debate to be heard but become the judge and jury of the debate.
Marty qualified as a coach in 2007 where he set up his practice in London, UK. He holds a Master's Degree in Psychology from the University of East London. In addition to his academic qualifications, he is member of the Association for Coaching, a Senior Member of the ACCPH and is trained by Stanford University Professors Bill Burnett and Dave Evans in Life Design.
Join us as we learn more from Marty about how coaching leadership will be critical in providing a richer connection between the workforce and leadership.
