Two crises. One overlooked solution.
60 million Americans struggle with mental health. 340,000 rescue dogs are euthanized every year. Both systems are overburdened, underperforming, and wildly expensive.
What if dogs—trained, matched, and integrated through Social Prescriptions—could help solve both?
The TH-CA Podcast explores how trained rescue dogs are a cost-effective, scalable, organic mental health intervention hiding in plain sight. These dogs aren’t just pets—they’re untapped resources for emotional support, social connection, and daily structure.
While the U.S. spends $282B/year on mental illness and $2B/year on shelter systems, TH-CA offers a third path:
✅ A natural, drug-free solution
✅ A second chance for rescue dogs
✅ A new model for care that’s community-backed and tech-powered
Through AI-driven matchmaking, targeted training, and real human-canine connection, we’re building a system that curbs crisis—not just treats symptoms.
Plus, go behind the scenes in “Real Life Business” segments to hear what it really takes to build a hybrid nonprofit-for-profit org from scratch—and disrupt two major industries along the way.
If you care about mental health, rescue dogs, or bold new ideas in public health, this podcast is for you.
Let’s flip the script. Let’s turn America’s Human-PILL Bond into a Human-CANINE Bond. 🐾

Veterans in Victory is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit that aims to help military veterans in three categories: PTSD, Homelessness, and addiction recovery. We seek to raise awareness, educate, and support local military veterans in every way possible!
Our board of directors includes; Stephen Underwood, Joe Bannon, Pete Amis, Dusty Morgan, and Jason Atkinson. We all served together during OIF 06-08 in 1st Platoon, Co H 121 Long Range Surveillance. Today, we are committing ourselves to “fight for those who fought for us!”
I am on a healing journey, breaking cycles of toxic family patterns of mental, verbal, and emotional abuse that have plagued my family for generations. My children deserved better than what I got so I embarked on a path of healing, addressing the internal pain caused by the rage, fear, guilt, shame, rejection, manipulation, and neglect that I was raised with. This quest for authenticity and peace is an endless journey of discovery and recovery with no finish line. I hope my story, truth, humor and mistakes inspire others and that is why I am sharing my story.

At the foundational floor of my core oracle is truth. I have lived to learn only by way of truth do I truly live. Sharing the learned truths of life, I attempt to help us all...all my sisters, all my brothers. My need to help arose after watching my mother try to survive as a homeless mentally incapacitated bag lady on the streets of Baltimore. I try...I try to share, I try to be authentic, and I try to help everyone without imposing assumptions, judgments, or blame upon them. I try to help those who cannot help themselves, those just like my mother. As a former junkie, high school dropout, professional athlete, and global corporate business executive, I've seen a thing or three. This is not about me, this is about us.

It's March 1944, and the world remains engulfed in war. The United States is locked in a fierce battle to establish air superiority over Europe. Over the past year and a half, the Eighth Air Force has conducted bombing missions primarily targeting coastal cities. However, the focus is now shifting deeper into Nazi-occupied Europe.
The death toll among the Eighth Air Force continues to rise, with most bomber crews failing to complete even half of their 25-mission tour. Flak fields have become denser and more accurate, posing a grave threat to any plane that dares to fly through them. Nazi fighter pilots, growing in skill, relentlessly pursue American bombers, despite the defensive measures onboard.
Unknown to the American bomber crews, a significant change has occurred in their mission objectives. Under the leadership of Jimmy Doolittle, the Eighth Air Force now employs a risky strategy. Bombers are used as bait to lure Nazi fighters into combat, allowing escort fighters to pick them off one by one. This shift means the lives of bomber crews are no longer considered sacrosanct but rather as expendable casualties in the pursuit of victory.
By this time next year, the death toll of the Eighth Air Force will reach a staggering 26,000, surpassing the losses of Marines throughout the entirety of World War II. This podcast chronicles the experiences of one such bomber crew during the early months of 1944.
Lieutenant Bakas, a 24-year-old pilot from Youngstown, Ohio, leads a B-17G named "Load of Bull" and commands a 10-man crew with a singular goal: survival. With daunting odds stacked against them, Lieutenant Miller, a 23-year-old co-pilot, must navigate the challenges of leadership, perseverance, and duty.
Tasked with motivating a crew comprised mostly of young men fresh out of high school, Bakas and Miller grapple with the weight of their responsibilities. As they confront the harsh realities of their suicidal missions and the uncertain impact on the war effort, they must find the strength to inspire their men to keep fighting.
Starting in July 2021, SNAFU, a historical fiction podcast, will begin to tell the story of a group of men, as their families never knew them.
