A lot of midwives and doctors will tell you on the front end that they are supportive of natural birth, but how can you tell for sure? It is not a good feeling to get to the end of the third trimester only to find out they've pulled a "bait and switch" on you and they're really not all that supportive of your birth plan or birth preferences. The best way to know for sure is to take the time early in pregnancy to do your due diligence by asking some well thought out questions and then listening well to HOW they answer. This episode takes you through the process so that you'll have a good chance of choosing a practitioner who truly supports the type of birth you want.
