In this episode, Joe and Rachel start off talking about their son's birth and not realizing gravity of the situation. Rachel talks about the loss of normal she felt from the beginning. They also discuss having to grapple with the decision of trying to let baby Jack try to grow on his own but risk falling behind developmentally. Or, have him go through a major surgery that would leave him with a trach.
