192 Feminine Power and The Power of Girlhood with Ber-Henda Williams

The PurposeGirl Podcast: Empowering women to live their purpose with courage, joy, and fierce self-love.
When I created The Women’s Day Event for International Women’s Day in March 2021, I knew I wanted to give back, I knew I wanted to raise money for a community organization that supports girls leadership, and I was thrilled to find The Power of Girlhood, a leadership development organization serving adolescent girls in metro Detroit. And then I met its founder and was just blown away by this amazing human, Ber-Henda Williams. In today’s episode, I am joined by Ber-Henda, and she talks about
  • Her inspiration in creating The Power of Girlhood
  • Some of the ways in which The Power of Girlhood impacts girls, and the amazing girls she works with
  • The importance of giving back to the next generation
  • Being a multipotentialite
  • Co-creating in the feminine, as opposed to going it alone
  • Teaching women to listen to their intuition
  • Writing poetry for the United Way and Toyota
  • And so much more!

And I am honored to share this with you to kick off Black History Month here in the US, to elevate an African American woman whom I truly love and admire.

About Ber-Henda:

Ber-Henda is a Visionary+Empath Coach. She supports empathic creative visionary empaths to find their voice, embrace feminine power, and create mission-based businesses in service of social transformation, justice and equity. When she is not doing that, she runs a girl’s leadership program, The Power of Girlhood for girls 8-18. She is a bilingual poet. She believes feminine empaths are here to disrupt the patriarchy and oppression with their mission-based businesses.

191 Revolutionizing Midlife with Amanda Hanson

For so many women, the idea of midlife implies a crisis: Midlife crisis. A big part of this is because society has put so much emphasis on our looks and has tied our looks to our worth. And this is really different for the way society views men at the same stage of life. Amanda Hanson has made it her mission to show women a new way of being in, and doing, midlife. Amanda joins us to talk about:

  • The messages that many women currently in midlife received about their own worth when they were younger, from women who had raised them, and how these messages adversely impacted them
  • The amount of conditioning we as women have undergone by society takes a lot of undoing and is best done in community with other women doing the same work
  • How women need to and can actively shift the way they look at and feel about themselves
  • The importance of creating one’s foundation of self-love

There is SO much amazing info here, you do NOT want to miss this episode!

193 How to Accomplish Your Big Audacious Goal

What is that big, juicy, audacious dream that you’ve always had, that maybe you’ve been afraid to pursue or you’ve beaten yourself up for abandoning? Maybe you think it’s impossible to achieve? Last year I accomplished that kind of goal for myself, one that I had thought impossible: I threw the world’s largest event for International Women’s Day, with 12 hours of keynote speakers, panels, movement and exercise classes, and more. Over 25 speakers, 2500+ women from around the world registered for this, and it was totally free! In today’s episode I’m going to lay out for you how I did it so you can go after your own dreams with renewed energy and determination. The steps that I talk about are:

  • Visualization (and I take you guided visualization exercises to facilitate this)
  • Planning through reverse engineering
  • Celebrating the heck out of every step I accomplished
  • The power of checklists
  • Switch from “I can’t” to “How can I?”
  • Tell people about your dream
  • Choose
