Episode - 34 - Optimization Brain, Body, Business, Breath as Usual
The Lovable Idiot Podcast: Fired Up
09/10/22 β’ 48 min
In episode 34, We recap the last show a last week and everything in between since episode 3!
Continuing with the broader theme of brain, body, and business and what that all means and entails. This episode we go a little deeper catch up on all things happening brain body and business. A little bit on breathing but really focusing on optimization!
Brain- Not too much on brain this week, although I did start talking a little bit about brain science and a new book that I am reading and how complex the brain really is.Body- Of course breathing continues to be a theme, less so in this episode it's really more about optimizing. Don't know if I was able to touch on it but I continue to strive to get to 100 days in a row a Peloton.Business - chat a bit about what consistency really means because everybody says it over and over but I think there is room for interpretation and a slow growth track towards being consistent and what we do as individuals.
The TL;DR:
- This episode is a little scattered because of the short week and I'm just trying to build momentum and consistency so a lot of this week is kind of a continuation or a tangent of last weeks episode.
- Full disclosure halfway through my phone so it's going crazy in the studio and I get a little distracted but it's still a good episode with lots of info and things to think about!
- I think in general there is an awareness we all have about the importance of breathing
- There are little things we can all do to help improve the overall quality of our lives but also our blood flow and circulation
- I touch on some of the lesser known tangents and related topics to breathing as well.
- Ice Barrel, because cold showers are cold enough it's time to step up my game.
All three sections brain body and business are intertwined in this week's episode again, I talk a bit about social media in relation to brain body & business. I bring up something that's been on my mind a lot with the breathing is that because people are so specialized nobody actually specialized and breathing but it's a vital function that gets lost in the medical community.
It's basically a case for filling in gaps between bigger niches there's even a smaller subset sometimes. I touch on cold therapy a little bit and the benefits.
A few books that I've been reading that might be of interest as well re

Episode-29- Happy 2022, Yer Boy is Back from Break!!
The Lovable Idiot Podcast: Fired Up
01/05/22 β’ 35 min
What's up everybody it's been a busy last couple of months! Happy new year to everybody hope your holiday season was amazing! Today is just catching up from an unexpected long break in October November and December!
Things are good and I am pumped to start the year been catching up on lots of things. The family is good life is good the business is good. Excited about 2022 and putting some new things in place at home in life and in business!
Always progressing and keeping things fresh and new. After this episode the format will be a lot like it was later last year and I will try to stick to weekly episodes moving forward this year with a little more format than in the past but that could definitely change as well!
I don't have a lot of super planned out resolutions but I like the idea of words because I have 18 of them tattooed on my body and my words to focus on for me this year our Love and Swagger. I get into a little bit of how those came about and I'm sure they will come up more throughout the year!
I don't generally believe in the new year new me bullsh*t but that being said I like the idea of having a little bit more focus and refining my business and process with things as they unfold throughout the year! Excited to be back excited to share more stories and learning as the weeks go on! Feel free to let me know on social media or however you want to get contact with me if there are topics you'd like me to discuss or look into really excited about the year and I hope you are too!! It's great to be back and I am already excited for next weeks episode!

Episode-27- Disruptive Impact - What is value? π€·ββοΈ πΈ Value can definitely mean different things to different people
The Lovable Idiot Podcast: Fired Up
09/10/21 β’ 25 min
In this episode I discuss a little bit about the 20th anniversary tomorrow of 9/11/2001
I talk about value and the perception, intentions, how different words can impact people differently it's all very subjective! The point is you will hear various experts, give their two cents including myself at times. But I think staying true to what you believe is valuable to yourself to your friends to your family to your audience to whom ever you are speaking to remains important. We don't always nail it, and that's OK. I think the point is to just keep trying, getting up when we fall down and learning from mistakes. There is no playbook for 99% of life and even if there was every single person would likely have a different variation of that playbook!

Episode-33- The benefits of breathing better, a deep dive!ππ€π¨
The Lovable Idiot Podcast: Fired Up
09/02/22 β’ 47 min
In episode 33, We recap the last show a last week and everything in between since episode 32!
Continuing with the broader theme of brain, body, and business and what that all means and entails. This episode really focuses on breathing awareness and both the benefits of breathing better but also some of the hidden things we don't realize and often take for granted because as long as we're breathing we think we're good but we may be causing harm to our bodies!
This is definitely a deep dive into breathing and kind of my journey but also it is more of a storytelling so that more awareness around this is brought to light because I think it is really misunderstood and beneficial for people to learn more about going forward! Breathing will not fix everything in your life but you'd be surprised how the simple act could really change a lot of things that may be difficult or of concern potentially now or down the road.
The TL;DR:
- This episode is really deep dive about different topics around breathing mostly around the information I've been reading and various books and online.
- I think in general there is an awareness we all have about the importance of breathing
- There are little things we can all do to help improve the overall quality of our lives but also our blood flow and circulation
- I touch on some of the lesser known tangents and related topics to breathing as well.
- Brain Segment
- Body Segment-
- Business Segment-
All three sections brain body and business are intertwined in this weeks episode. First two are critical to being able to even touch on the third hence this weeks kind of intertwined discussion. Without a healthy body and mind or a plan to continuously improve those to business is almost irrelevant but we touch on all of them this week as usual. Perhaps not the most involved episode with business this week!
A few books that I've been reading that might be of interest as well related to breathing
- Wim Hof
- The Breathing Cure
- The Oxygen Advantage
- Breath
- Pranayama: The Vedic science of Breath
