The Lovable Idiot Podcast: Fired Up

In episode 35, We recap the last show a last week and everything in between since episode 34!
Continuing with the broader theme of brain, body, and business and what that all means and entails. This episode we go a little deeper catch up on all things happening brain body and business. A little bit on breathing but really zeroing in on Plateauing and Mediocrity.
Brain- Not too much on brain this week, although I did start talking a little bit about brain science and a new book that I am reading and how complex the brain really is. Still really digging into a user's Guide to the Brain.Body- Of course breathing continues to be a theme, less so in this episode it's really more about optimizing. A little bit on peloton as I approach day 100 next week. Business - chat a bit about what consistency really means because everybody says it over and over but I think there is room for interpretation and a slow growth track towards being consistent and what we do as individuals.
The TL;DR:

  • This episode is a lot on Plateauing and Mediocrity and not settling how to kind of break through that bullshit and take back control.
  • We all do it and it's good to kind of reassess from time to time in various parts of our lives.
  • I think in general there is an awareness we all have about the importance of breathing
  • There are little things we can all do to help improve the overall quality of our lives but also our blood flow and circulation
  • I briefly mention the power of collaboration especially in business.
  • Dysgraphia and is it possible that some thing I might be or have been dealing with unknowingly.
  • Ice Barrel, because cold showers are cold enough it's time to step up my game.

All three sections brain body and business are intertwined in this week's episode again, I talk a bit about social media in relation to brain body & business. I bring up something that's been on my mind a lot with the breathing is that because people are so specialized nobody actually specialized and breathing but it's a vital function that gets lost in the medical community.
It's basically a case for filling in gaps between bigger niches there's even a smaller subset sometimes. I touch on cold therapy a little bit and the benefits.
A few books that I've been reading that might be of interest as well related to breathing

Episode - 34 - Optimization Brain, Body, Business, Breath as Usual

In episode 34, We recap the last show a last week and everything in between since episode 3!
Continuing with the broader theme of brain, body, and business and what that all means and entails. This episode we go a little deeper catch up on all things happening brain body and business. A little bit on breathing but really focusing on optimization!
Brain- Not too much on brain this week, although I did start talking a little bit about brain science and a new book that I am reading and how complex the brain really is.Body- Of course breathing continues to be a theme, less so in this episode it's really more about optimizing. Don't know if I was able to touch on it but I continue to strive to get to 100 days in a row a Peloton.Business - chat a bit about what consistency really means because everybody says it over and over but I think there is room for interpretation and a slow growth track towards being consistent and what we do as individuals.
The TL;DR:

  • This episode is a little scattered because of the short week and I'm just trying to build momentum and consistency so a lot of this week is kind of a continuation or a tangent of last weeks episode.
  • Full disclosure halfway through my phone so it's going crazy in the studio and I get a little distracted but it's still a good episode with lots of info and things to think about!
  • I think in general there is an awareness we all have about the importance of breathing
  • There are little things we can all do to help improve the overall quality of our lives but also our blood flow and circulation
  • I touch on some of the lesser known tangents and related topics to breathing as well.
  • Ice Barrel, because cold showers are cold enough it's time to step up my game.

Episode - 36 - 2022 The Year I eat my words, regularly and the importance of saying Yes and No! 😱

In episode 36, We recap the last show a last week and everything in between since episode 35!
Continuing with the broader theme of brain, body, and business and what that all means and entails. This episode we go a little deeper catch up on all things happening brain body and business. A lot of this episode is recapping me eating my own words a lot this year during 2022.
Catch up after a couple weeks off due to the hurricane that came through Florida last week.
A continuation of breathing and body optimization and what that means and how sometimes even with the best of intentions we need to remember to prioritize ourselves before we can help others. Basically I recently made a mistake and I said yes when I should've said no even though I know better but it happens to all of us sometimes.
The TL;DR:

Intro

  • 2022 the year eat my words
  • Break
  • Hurricane Ian

Brain

  • Mindset/overtake obstacles
  • Biohacking misinformation
  • Neuroplasticity

Body

  • Prioritizing health
  • Shit in get shit out
  • Altitude training

Business

  • Consistency vs Quality
  • The Importance of saying No and my mistake of the week!
  • Social as a solopreneur and mix with being a creator

Wrap Up/Outro

  • That’s a wrap as we bump against time!

A few books that I've been reading that might be of interest as well related to breathing and body brain optimization.

  • Endure by Cameron Hanes
  • Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins
  • Breathing for Warriors
