The Lovable Idiot Podcast: Fired Up

In Episode 16 I talk about all things in the world of Will for the last week. It is also the one year anniversary from coming out of inpatient rehab! I talk a little bit about the progress that I've made and the progress that I hope to continue to make on my journey! Lots of book recommendations this week the latest in Clubhouse, And just generally touching on a variety of subjects and things going on in my life with family kids and work! Also hard conversations are just that. They aren't "fun" they can sometimes be difficult, however they are also necessary for progress and to help one another be better, be accountable to one another! The goal with difficult conversations is so that we can all grow and learn on our journeys. I think I mentioned a ton of books but I will just stay here in the notes my top five of the week (In no particular order):

  • Untamed by Glennon Doyle
  • Agile Conversations: Transform Your Conversations, Transform Your Culture by Douglas Squirrel and Jeffrey Fredrick
  • Turn the Ship Around!: A True Story of Turning Followers into Leaders
by L. David Marquet and Stephen R. Covey
  • The Coaching Habit: Say Less, Ask More & Change the Way You Lead Forever
    by Michael Bungay Stanier
  • Just Work: Get Sh*t Done, Fast & Fair Kindle Edition by Kim Scott (Author)

Episode-15- International Women's Day, Let's Celebrate and Support all Women Collectively!

In Episode 15 I talk about all things in the world of Will for the last week. In the spirit of last Monday being International Women's Day I did want to bring attention and shine a light on all the important women who have played significant roles in my life and shaping the man and husband and father that I become and continue to strive to be as I Grow in all those aspects of my life. I think empowering women and trying to figure out how I can help support is something I really want to explore further I'm not exactly sure what that looks like how I can be most helpful and impactful but it is definitely something I am interested in for a whole ton of reasons! That's probably a lot to do with my upbringing and having a strong mother and strong sisters and an amazing wife and daughter so I want to be a role model for my younger boys so that they can also learn and grow to be amazing young men, While supporting their friends and the women in their lives. I know that's a lot of rambling but I really just always feel inspired by the women in my life so I want to get back in anyway I can. I have of course a bunch of books this week but I would say a really good one for everyone to check out is the moment of lift by Melinda Gates. Also in the podcast world I would definitely check out BrenΓ© Brown's Dare to Lead, Episode two of a two part series with Dr. Susan David is really excellent I highly recommend it please check it out as well! Episode-17-Potentially a Podcast Pivot? Let's Discuss How We Can All Be Better Allies For All

In Episode 17 I talk about all things in the world of Will for the last week. Although not 100% on target I think as a podcast evolves I am going to try to go a little bit more in depth on topics each week. Along with recapping the week, This week I discuss a topic that has come up a lot recently in my world. I feel very strongly and deeply about not only speaking up in the workplace, but in everyday life as well. I am well aware of who I am and my background and upbringing and there is nothing I can do to change that except for use who I am to help others in a positive and impactful way. I am sure there are better words to use but as always I am learning and really deeply passionate about serving under-represented and often overlooked Individuals from all walks of life. I don't know the best way to always help but I am definitely on a journey and committed to not only helping when appropriate/needed/wanted etc. but I am definitely listening and always looking to learn!
