Joey Somebody; Sibling Loss, Vulnerability and the Male Ego

Today I am sharing a very important conversation. I recently spoke with Joey Dumont, a self-professed 'recovering egoist' who took a year off to write a book about his life, his loss & 'recovery' that turned into three and has now sent him down a new path of (comedic) enlightenment with a heart for helping others. Joey lost his younger brother to suicide in April 2007 and spent the next year basically hiding, or perhaps running, from the grief, the PTSD and more. Sibling loss is complicated and as we know, loss by suicide even more so. It truly was a joy to talk with him. I hope you will take something from it as well!
ALL THINGS Joey Dumont can be found here... his book ("Joey Somebody"), his podcast ("Laugh Your Cry Out") and his coaching! I encourage you to check him out! I cannot wait to listen to his podcast and read his book. Again HERE is the LINK go check him out!
As with everything you hear on my podcasts, please take that which serves you & leave the rest. I hope you will find something of value & I am so sorry that you need to be here, but so honored you are here.
Please reach out to me if you know of someone that I should talk to or if you yourself would like to have a conversation around the suicide loss and grief space. Instagram is probably still the best way to contact me or directly through email. I am already scheduling people into this Spring so it's not too soon to reach out!
Let's have a conversation Let's keep talking Let's be there for each other. Let's make a change. TALK SOON!
If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts PLEASE reach out & talk to someone

Oracle Cards; My Grief inside Woo-ville
Today I dive (deep) into 'the rabbit hole' ... I let you into my mind to explore why (& how) I use Oracle cards! Yep -- I said it - Oracle Cards!!! Many people refer to crystals, Reiki, tarot, oracle ... or really anything in the metaphysical, alternative based thinking or practices as "woo-woo". I personally have always been a science and fact seeking person so it may seem strange that I can reside so comfortably in what I call "Wooville", but I do. Come along and I will give you a glimpse as to (just one reason) why!
Many people perceive Oracle (& Tarot) as a fortune teller-y type of 'thing' ... I was one of those people once too. They are NOT that at all that. They ARE tools of divination used (by anyone) to help show us what we already know deep down ... they are a tool for our subconscious and help us to 'dig deeper' (you know, to get out of our logical minds way if you will!) and you know if you listen to me at all that I am big on all of these concepts that lend themselves to forward thinking and the power of the subconscious mind in our healing-and- thriving-alongside-grief journey! I am glad you joined me today!!
As with everything you hear on my podcasts, please take that which serves you & leave the rest. I hope you will find something of value & I am so sorry that you need to be here, but so honored you are here. Talk soon!
Because I said I would ...

They type of decks are endless. Let me know if you have any questions ... or would like an intuitive card pull from me! :)

Sharon Survived; How She Defined Her Why
Today I share my conversation with suicide attempt survivor Sharon Greenwald. Hear her share her story and how it has led her to find her "why" and a life of purpose AND happiness! She talks openly about depression and where it took her... to an attempt on her life that she feels she only survived by divine intervention. Sharon wrote her memoir with the intention of propelling the conversation surrounding suicide and depression to break down the walls of stigma, to help ease the guilt loss survivors feel and to help slow the current rate of the suicide epidemic. This is an important one!
Find Sharon & her book at the LINKs here:
- Sixty-Ninth Street Suicide Instagram
- Purchase her Memoir "Sixty-Ninth Street Suicide" HERE on Amazon
- And there's also a Group on Facebook at Sixty-Ninth Street Suicide
