Episode 9: How to launch a complex product: JoinLoop.com
07/11/19 • 30 min
In today’s episode, I interviewed Brian Gannon, founder of Loop (joinloop.com). The loop display is “the world’s simplest digital frame” that helps you to send pictures and videos to your closest friends and loved ones right from your phone. Facebook and Instagram help you to share information with a wide audience, so most of us limit how much we share. However, if you’re like me, you don’t send family photos or video often enough to your parents, your siblings and your closest friends. Loop helps you do just that simply and easily.
Brian has an amazing background that helped him to become the successful entrepreneur he is today. After getting his MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Business (yes, THAT MIT!), Brian worked for several years at the Boston Consulting Group (“BCG”), one of the most premiere consulting agencies that advises Fortune 500 companies around the world. For the past couple of years, Brian has been focusing on the development and launch of Loop, and in this interview, he shares some really valuable insights, including:
· How can you go to market faster and less expensively?
· How can you remove risk from your product launch?
· How do you raise money to fun expensive product development?
To learn more about Loop, check it out at JoinLoop.com. Brian has also graciously offered to answer any questions from other product marketers. You can email him directly at: [email protected].

10. Bob Circosta, The Original TV Shopping Host and HSN Legend
In this episode, I interviewed my good friend Bob Circosta. Bob was the world’s first Live TV Shopping Host over 40 years ago, and he helped create the whole industry which now includes HSN, QVC and many other U.S. and international Live TV Shopping channels. Bob shares the story of the first product ever pitched, back when HSN was a radio station that launched a show called the International Suncoast Bargaineers Club.
It’s a fascinating story, but Bob also weaves in some great advice for entrepreneurs and business owners based on his more than 25,000 hours pitching products on live TV and over 75,000 unique product presentations. Among other things, in this episode you’ll learn:
•How to pitch your product or service
•How to get distribution to market your business
•The secrets to effective selling, even if you “hate selling”
•How to stay motivated in the face of trials as you grow your business
Even after helping thousands of business owners, Bob is still very active in helping entrepreneurs and inventors get their products launched on HSN, on Canada’s “The Shopping Channel,” and by hosting product videos for digital marketing on Facebook and Instagram. You can learn more about Bob Circosta at BobCircosta.com, and if you’d like to learn about working with Bob or attending one of his live Bootcamps, please reach out to [email protected].
