In today's episode, I take you behind the curtain of getting assessed for ADHD. This is my personal experience and everyone's experience is slightly different but in general, this will help you understand what to expect.
*I discuss the reasons why to get assessed (in case it ISN'T ADHD and there is another possible source for your symptoms.
*I share a few different resources for you to use that are SOLID resources (not just pseudoscience).
*I tell the story of my assessment from beginning to end and what I experienced during my meeting with the psychiatrist and the kind of ADHD that I personally have.
*What are the 3 types of ADHD and what each one looks like.
*What is the DSM-5 and why it's behind the times when it comes to ADHD and ADHD research.
