Episode 079.
Have you ever struggled with perfectionism? How about as it relates to the website copy and marketing content you create? Maybe you find yourself constantly editing and rewriting, making it impossible to finish a piece, or worse, you don’t start writing at all and just stare at a blank page beating yourself up about it. Perfectionism in writing is something that all writers struggle with, and if I’m going to be honest with you, it’s a constant struggle...not something that happens from time to time.
Which is why it’s so difficult for non-writers to craft “perfect” copy.
On this episode of the Talk Copy to Me podcast, I’m talking perfectionism in writing and why nothing you write will ever be good enough. I’ll cover the three different stages of the writing process and why you should embrace each one for what it is and not try to do them all at once. By the end of this episode, you’ll learn three main takeaways: why perfectionism is detrimental to your writing, how to accept imperfection, and how to recognize and embrace the quality content you do create.

Do Cold Emails Work in 2023 with Laura Lopuch
Episode 078.
Do cold emails work in 2023?
Shoot, let's rewind for a moment....Can cold emails be cool or are they just icky overall?
The answer to those questions are yes, yes, and no need to be icky. On this episode of the Talk Copy to Me podcast, I'm so fortunate to welcome Laura Lopuch to talk about cold emailing and how to go about it strategically and successfully. You'll learn effective strategies for crafting engaging emails and cold pitching successfully. And successful means two things: First, and most importantly, it means reaching out as a human and not a sleezy salesperson. But successful also means getting the result you were hoping for....and with the many types of cold pitches you can send (Hint: it's not just "Hire Me!"), you're going to be excited for the results you can get.

What is Affiliate Marketing and How Does It Work with Dama Jue
Episode 080.
Have you ever bought something and felt like you simply just had to share it with your family and friends? Wouldn’t it be nice to make some money off that referral? If so, there is absolutely no need for you to wonder “What is affiliate marketing and how does it work?” any longer.
Because it really is as simple as that.
An affiliate program allows consumers to share products with the people in their network. And when someone from their network purchases — using a specialized link or coupon code — the person who shared the link gets a small commission on that sale.
Affiliate marketing is a popular way for businesses to reach a wider audience and generate more sales. But how exactly does it work? And how can you set up an effective affiliate marketing program for your business?
I invited Dama Jue to join me on the Talk Copy to Me podcast to answer these questions and more. She’ll share her insights on successful affiliate program management and the tools and a business owner can use to manage their program effectively.
