Six Degrees of WTF
It's hard to believe we are at the tail end of our month of Halloween fun!
O'Dell starts with an update on the Cropsey episode thanks to a listener write-in, and then we welcome two new Patreon members and chat about a few horror movies.
Erin kicks us off with the granddaddy of all haunted house stories when she recounts the true story of Ronald Defeo Jr's killing spree inside the infamous Amityville house. She then recounts the paranormal claims made by George and Kathy Lutz which were made famous in a book and movie released in the late 70's.
O'Dell then tells the story of three families in Washington, who in 2007, were terrorized by a phone stalker. They knew intimate details of the family's daily lives, threatened them with death, and texted pictures of them that had obviously been taken inside their homes.
Erin closes things out with a listener true crime confession and some WTF stories that happened on Halloween.

Halloween Re-release - Episode 22: Witch, Please! (The Setagaya Murders/The Bell Witch)

***We are re-releasing some of our creepiest episodes this month in honor of our favorite time of year. O'Dell's story of the Bell Witch is rumored to have inspired the movies "The Bell Witch Project" and "The Witch". (This episode originally dropped on March 31, 2021)***

Spring is in the air, and so are unsolved murders and urban legends. Today, we have one of each.

Erin starts the show with the unbelievable unsolved murders of the Miazawa family in the Setagaya ward of Tokyo, Japan which took place on December 30, 2000. A family of 4 were murdered during an alleged home invasion, but we have so many questions!

Next, O'Dell continues his "true" story that inspired urban legends that inspired movies series. Today he goes the paranormal route and talks about The Bell Witch haunting that many say inspired "The Blair Witch Project". While it was probably terrifying to the family, we think the alleged witch sounds like someone we would want to hang out with. She left us with total apparition inspiration!

Erin closes the show with an In Memoriam about a badly placed goat. (Yes, you read that correctly.)
