Susan Polk
True Crime All The Time
08/10/20 • 68 min
Susan Polk was convicted of murdering her husband of 20 years, respected psychologist, Felix Polk in 2002. Susan claimed that the killing was self-defense but the prosecution argued that she killed Felix for money and custody of her children because of a contentious divorce. The two were married for 20 years and had 3 children together at the time of the murder.
Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and crimes of Susan Polk. Everything about this case is the stuff that tabloids thrive off. The pair met when Susan was just a teenager and a patient of Dr. Polk. He later divorced his wife to marry Susan. She would later claim that Felix drugged and raped her as a teenager while she was under his care. Susan's trial was sensationalized by the media as she defended herself and made some outrageous claims, leading many to question her mental health.

Samuel Little Part 1
True Crime All The Time
09/12/22 • 75 min
In October 2019, the FBI confirmed that Samuel Little was the most prolific serial killer in US history. It took advancements in DNA many years after the fact to put him away for three murders he committed in California.
Join Mike and Gibby for the 300th episode of True Crime All The Time, where we discuss Samuel Little. In part one of the Samuel Little episodes, we’ll cover his early life and lengthy criminal record. Samuel Little spent his days committing petty crimes and his nights hunting for vulnerable victims. It was after his conviction for the three murders in California that the true scope of his depravity came to light.

Matthew Breck
True Crime All The Time
08/15/22 • 72 min
In September 1998, 10-year-old Anna Palmer was murdered outside her home in Salt Lake City after walking home from a friend’s house. There were reports of a strange man harassing young girls in her neighborhood, but no arrests were made. Over a decade later, advancements in DNA testing finally identified Anna’s killer, a dangerous criminal who was already in prison for another crime against a child.
Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss killer Matthew Breck. Breck was 19 years old when he murdered Anna Palmer in 1998, but he got away with it for over a decade. Skins cells under Anna's fingernails were finally matched to Breck, who was in prison on a 10-year-old sentence for a crime against a child under 16. As it turned out, Breck lived only a block from Anna back when she was killed, but police never even talked to him.

Janie Lou Gibbs
True Crime All The Time
06/13/22 • 74 min
Janie Lou Gibbs seemed like a normal wife and mother of three children. She was devoted to her church and ran her own daycare center to help working parents. She was respected by everyone in the small community of Cordele, Georgia. In 1966 and 1967, four of Janie’s family members died unexpectedly. It took the authorities some time to figure out that Janie Gibbs was behind the deaths.
Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss poisoner Janie Lou Gibbs. At Janie's trial, the prosecution told the jury that Janie was a sane woman who murdered her family members for life insurance money so that she could upgrade her lifestyle. The defense said she was mentally ill at the time she committed the murders, thought she was dying, and wanted her family to wait for her in heaven. Janie admitted to the murders so that wasn't in question. Was she a cold and calculating murderer or mentally ill and therefore could not be held responsible for her actions?
