074 How to Celebrate Your Struggling Child’s Strength if their School is Focused on Skills
02/12/20 • 15 min
Should schools develop a child’s skills or strengths? What is most important? To get grades for turning in assignments early or to express their strengths (such as standing up for others) which aren’t necessarily measured by a grade at school? Or are both equally important?
School often focuses on building the cognitive aspect of a child’s life using measurements such as grades and GPA. Unfortunately, this system doesn’t recognize the strengths of children who are struggling at school.
This week on School Counselor Gone Rogue we discuss how to develop your child's strengths even if they are struggling at school.
