Mindful As A Mother

What comes to mind when you hear Radical Acceptance? As humans, we spend a lot of time being upset about things that aren’t in our control. Radical acceptance is taking the concept that we can’t change what’s happening, so how do we navigate the challenge? We talk through why this is important in parenting neurodivergent children and how to implement this concept to create a smoother experience in your parenting journey.

S4e8; Interview w/ Carina

Welcome back to Mindful As A Mother! Today we are welcoming a special guest all the way from Austria, Carina Wahringer. We strongly believe that the most important voices in parenting and living with neurodivergence come from the individuals themselves. Carina is a strong example of a neurodivergent mother with neurodivergent children just trying to wing parenthood like the rest of us. Together, we talk about how Carina knew she’s neurodivergent, what it's like parenting as a neurodivergent individual and parenting neurodivergent children, and her biggest struggles and strengths in neurodivergence.

S4e10; Self-Care for Parents

This week we’re deep-diving into self-care. What comes to your mind when we mention self-care? If it’s expensive and bougie, then we highly recommend you take a listen. Together, we talk through several different ideas that you can utilize for self-care, why it’s important, and how to weave it throughout your day. The first rule of this episode: Take what works and leave what doesn’t, and always remember: self-care is intimately defined by you, and you are the only one who can ensure what you’re doing is self-care.
