She’s achieved a remarkable 25-year career in tech while being a working mom, getting through a divorce, navigating a new marriage and blended family – oh, and throw in a recession and major health scare, too! Now she helps women transition into valuable tech careers through a journey of self-discovery. You’ll love hearing Trina’s inspiring experience discovering her life mission. We’re designed to move, and we’re healthier and happier when we do. But sometimes our thoughts get in the way - especially as we notice signs of getting older. You can be aware and change them up so you have the inner motivation to take care of your body. The most important part is to create the right identity and focus more on building a habit than on the immediate results. Then the benefits will definitely come in time.

In this episode:

  • Stop the compare and despair trap with your own past self.
  • A story of what’s possible - Joan McDonald, 73 year-old fitness buff.
  • Be willing to adapt workouts to where you are now – no judgment.
  • The habit is more important than the activity.
  • Overcoming your own resistance.
  • We’re improving the mind, body, and spirit that we get to live with forever.

The best asset we have to make a contribution and live a purposeful life is our own mind. We have so many options for learning new things now! But it can also feel like a big decision because of the time and money commitment, as well as fears about being able to succeed when we’re a little farther on in life.
