This phenomenon is called the paradox of power. It happens when women leaders feel as if they have to downplay their achievements and play small to avoid being perceived as intimidating, aggressive or arrogant.

Over my career, I have accepted various promotions in the corporate space.
Then, at a certain point, I realized that something was very wrong.
