Thanks to the latest advances in the neurosciences, this is exactly what you can do, and the folks at Propeller asked me to teach them how in a recent private workshop. Propeller is a management consulting firm with offices in Portland and San Francisco. When I visited their office in Portland, I discovered a family of people who love the adventure of solving complex problems and are proud of being one of the best places to work. I sat down with Allison Torpey and Bobby Kosh from their leadership team to learn more about Propeller is putting brain science to work in their consulting practice.

Listen to Podcast:

https://learningtogo.ai/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Baba-Brinkman-The-Rap-Guide-to-Consciousness.mp3

Baba Brinkman is a rap artist, award-winning playwright, and former tree-planter who has personally planted more than one million trees. (What a legacy!) His best known for his “Rap Guide” series of plays and albums, including his latest work, The Rap Guide to Consciousness. I must admit that I don’t consider myself much of a fan of rap music, but I’m going to have to rewire my brain on that subject. I absolutely fell in love with this album and the wonderful way Baba incorporates peer-reviewed neuroscience into his compelling, sometimes haunting tunes.

In this episode, I talked with Baba about his amazing work, his fascination with the brain and his life married to an actual neuroscientist. You can purchase his music on Bandcamp, iTunes, and Amazon. Follow him on Twitter and see all his work at www.bababrinkman.com.
