Corb Lund is a fellow Albertan who grew up ranching, rodeoing and expressing himself musically. Hes had a very successful music career, going from rock, to the extremely relatable 'Ag-Trag,' or 'Livestock-Rock' genre, as he calls it. If you've been to the CFR, pro rodeos, or any country event or show in Alberta, you've likely jammed to Corb. Maybe you were even part of the notorious Teepee Creek Stampede party???
Corb Lund is scheduled to make his Grand Ol Opry Debut soon, so a big Congratulations to him on that!
Jaida Dreyer is not only an insanely talented singer, she also writes for herself, and others; and best of all, she knows the true meaning of - Horse Poor -
Jaida has recently written a #1 song that Luke Bryan performs ( Home Alone Tonight) , she also had a song nominated for a Grammy recently with Reba!!! Not only that, she's written hit songs for many other iconic country music stars such as Tim Mcgraw, Faith Hill, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert and many many more.
In this episode we chat about their roots and how they both have a deep understanding of the term 'Horse Poor.'
We also talked a lot about their hit duet " Horse Poor," (of course) and the ins & outs of writing, performing and making it in the music industry!

We chat about the dynamics of this move , and some of her rodeo and life experiences throughout that made it all happen . She has been to the College Finals, Canadian Finals, the Calgary Stampede, American Semis, has won multiple pro rodeos, slot races, and most recently she set an arena record in Rimbey, AB on the stallion, HR Chasin His Memory!
