We are so excited to bring you Taylor & Rylee Shields this week!! In this fun convo, we learn how they like to bring along and train the futurity horses they always have on the go and in the trailer.
We talk drills, many aspects of training, competitive & training accomplishments, some funny stories, and much more!
Rylee and Taylor bring along their own horses from start to finish and have clearly dialed in how to do this so successfully, along with the rest of their family. Whether it be in Alberta or Oklahoma, they are always bringing top notch horses to the barrel pens.
Rylee has been a champion since her youth days, she is a 3 x American Qualifier wheres shes placed 10th in the long go, and 11th in the 2nd go! She was most recently, the 2021 Greg Olsen Derby Champ, and she has won many other rodeos and races in Canada!
Taylor has been a FCA season leader and Barrel Racing Champ, a 3x American Qualifier on 2 horses she's trained and even finished top 17 in the final round of the semis one year too! She won the first pro rodeo she took Fury's Princess to , and has had many other race and futurity/Derby wins on this mare that we get to hear about in this podcast!

We had the opportunity to sit down with Professional Barrel Racer and PEMF Practitioner Jessa Galloway live at the CBHI!
Jessa starting accumulating achievements on her rodeo resume from a very young age, and offers some great insight for anyone looking to make their way through the High School and College Rodeo circuits. She was the Canadian High School Finals Breakaway Roping Champion in 2011, and was the 2009 Alberta High School Finals Breakaway Champ & the Provincial Barrel Champion. She has since claimed title to South Country Futurity Champion ( in 2012) and the CBHI Open Barrel Championship in 2010. The accomplishments don't stop there- Jessa has multiple WPRA & CPRA placings and wins in the last couple years, and you can bet we will see her back again as soon as things pick up!
