Hashtag 59's Season 3 Podcast is 50 Episodes long and each episode will provide SIX outdoor adventures in each of the US's 50 states. We are doing these episodes in ABC Order of the states and episode forty is South Carolina. The goal is to give you ideas and opportunities to experience outdoor adventure anywhere and everywhere in the United States of America. Here's our list for South Carolina: 1. THE FAIRYTALE-ESQUE ANGEL OAK TREE in Charleston, SC, is thought to be one of the oldest living oak trees east of the Mississippi River. Visit Ceaser Head State Park: An overlook is steps from the main parking lot at Caesars Head State Park, making the initial payoff virtually effortless. But dive deeper into the network of trails and you'll find the best of the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area: choose between suspension bridges, waterfalls, and epic granite views. 3. Visit Devil’s Fork State Park: Devils Fork State Park provides the only public access to Lake Jocassee, a largely undeveloped 7,500-acre reservoir tucked deep into the Blue Ridge. There’s an uncrowded setting and spectacular scenery, such as waterfalls cascading into the lake off steep, wooded slopes. 4. Congaree National Park kayaking and camping trip. 5. Fort Sumter walking tour. First shot of the Civil War. 6. Run the Charleston Marathon. One of the coolest cities to stroll around so seeing it from this angle might be fun.
