Girl Dad Nation - Solo But Not Alone (ft. Mathew Bradley, The Solo Dad Podcast)

Solo But Not Alone (ft. Mathew Bradley, The Solo Dad Podcast)

05/18/22 • 65 min

Girl Dad Nation

In this episode I welcome Mathew Bradley. Matt is a fellow podcaster and Girl Dad. When he lost his wife, Marci, to cancer in 2018, he was left to navigate raising his one-year-old daughter, Blair, on his own. In his search to find resources for dealing with grief and being a solo dad, Matt reached out to other dads dealing with loss, and in 2021 he launched a podcast called The Solo Dad Podcast. Matt shares his story and how he remains positive through all of life's challenges.

Thank you to Mathew Bradley for being on the show, and for sharing his journey as a Girl Dad. I am inspired by Matt's strength and his commitment to provide resources for solo parents. Check out his podcast The Solo Dad Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other platforms.

Thank you for listening, and I encourage you to rate the show on Apple Podcasts and share it with a friend.

@GirlDadNation is on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. And you can email me directly to [email protected]. I love getting your comments and suggestions!

Until next time, go be a dad!

In this bonus episode, Ken Sharrar, who coached at the high school and college level, shares his thoughts on sports.

Thank you to Ken for sharing and being part of Girl Dad Nation. I love sports and it's great to be passionate and want the best for your kids, but it's important to keep things in proper perspective. I have included a link in the description to the book Ken recommended. And I'd love to hear your takes on supporting your kids in athletics. Leave a comment or tweet me: @GirlDadNation
