On Today’s Episode I’m speaking with Dana Freker Doody, Vice President, Communications and Public Relations for The Expo Group, which works with organizations to help grow revenues and advance causes through the design and execution of compelling, memorable experiences. Dana excels at strategic thinking, communications programming and bringing communities of people together to achieve their objectives. A 19-year employee of The Expo Group, Dana started her career in newspapers and still subscribes. She holds bachelor of arts degrees in journalism and in history from Southern Methodist University plus a fancy certificate in improv from the Dallas Comedy House.
Hybrid events have been around for a little more than 10 years but more recently have become a popular topic of discussion. Hybrid Events expand our events and help us think differently about the way we run our events! Tune in for some great tips for building your hybrid event!

On Today’s Episode I’m speaking with Lauren Schwab creator of Unplugged Mornings. Lauren created a 9-step process to help individuals disconnect to reconnect back to their true self! In connection to that effort Lauren has hiked Mount Kilimanjaro, spent almost 60 days living in a cave, and competed with more than 1 million people to win one of 50 coveted spots in a competition reality TV show held on NBC.
Lauren has also opened and sold two fitness studios, is a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and fitness model in addition to leading online workouts that reach hundreds of thousands of men & women focused on changing their lives through fitness and mindfulness and has been featured in USA Today Sports, Marie Claire Magazine and Mind Body Green. Lauren has been seen on Good Day LA Fox 11, FOX, ABC, NBC Universal, GSN, E! Entertainment, CBS and Syfy.
With tens of thousands of online followers she was recently identified as a woman of influence in the Los Angeles area and was invited to the mayor’s home to help lead and inspire young women across California.
Lauren currently hosts wholeness retreats all over the U.S. and recently launched her online coaching business, Retreat Launch Formula, where she helps aspiring retreat leaders plan and launch their first retreat!
Lauren travels and speaks all around the country to provide hope to the hopeless, facilitate connection to the lonely and share the message that every life matters.

On Today’s Episode I’m speaking with Jess Ekstrom the founder and CEO of Headbands of Hope, a company that donates headbands to kids with cancer with every headband sold. Headbands of Hope has been featured on the TODAY Show, Good Morning America, QVC, The View and worn by celebrities like Kelsea Ballerini and Khloe Kardashian. More importantly, Headbands of Hope has donated over 600k headbands, reaching every single children's hospital in America and 22 countries.
Jess is also the bestselling author of Chasing the Bright Side and creator of Mic Drop Workshop, an online course and community for women to become paid keynote speakers.
And during COVID-19 her company Headbands of Hope stopped production of headbands for several weeks and just made masks. They shifted their model that for every headband sold on their site they donated a mask. So far they have donated over 50,000 masks to U.S. accute hospitals! Jess is an inspiration and she continues to give back again and again.
