EMPOWER with Tesh & Mihi

Send us a text

Today's guest is Holley Grant - she is currently a Wellbeing Specialist in kura & schools following her postgraduate psychology studies & she also runs her passion project, Awhi, where she runs & facilitates weekly mindful journaling classes here in Hawkes Bay (which is how we met!). The reason I wanted to speak to Holley is because she knows who she is, she's comfortable in her own skin & she is all about opening the dialogue on sex! In today's episode, we talk everything from sex, to the feminism movement, to how we teach children about sex, to porn, to contraception & women's health, the S*** word, body count & revolutionising sex education.

Dealing with the great divide of Covid-19

Covid-19 has impacted all of us over the last 2 years and a bit. For the first time in our lives, we've been subject to lockdowns, mandates, border restrictions, vaccines.. and everyone has an opinion about it. It has polarised us and this polarisation has impacted our relationships. So what do you do when someone you love or respect has an opinion that differs wildly from your own? In this episode, we talk about it.

Balancing friendships through every relationship status

We love our friends. We really can't live without them, But new relationships (or single life) can change our own needs and expectations of our friendships. This episode is inspired by two women who contacted me seeking advice - one, who is single, trying to navigate being the 'single friend' while the other, in a relationship, trying to support her single friends. We aren't discriminating over relationship status' in this episode - what we're really talking about is how to be a good friend, regardless.
